David: Let's talk about somethin' very strange for me. Uh, A few years ago, I uh, I

bought a record called "History for Sale," and uh, by a band called Blue October.

David: And I used to sing uh, I used to sing along in my car to this song called

"Calling You."

David: And now here we are however many years later, we're headlining Red White

and-- Freakin' Boom...

David: I wanted to say somethin' else, but I caught myself. And uh, we're sharing

the stage with bands like Blue October. What the hell happened, man? This is a

trip, thank you.

David: So we figured it'd be appropriate to uh, to play something that uh, that was

kinda the end of one thing and the beginning of another. So, we're gonna play a

imagine at some point you've been in that relationship that's a little, eh, it's a little

ass-backwards. And uh, you stay in it for comf-- comfortability's sake. I don't know

that that's a word. But I made it up. I made it up at Red White & Boom 14, by theway.

David: But uh, I'm in the process of decorating, and I think it'd be awesome to have

home. It's, it's good to have you back."

[crowd cheers]

David [still mimicking DJ voice]: But are you gonna cry on stage tonight? Are you

gonna cry? Big expose, are you gonna cry?" I'm gonna try really hard not to. But I

am gonna say, uh, you know my family's here tonight, my friends are here tonight,

and thank you so much for supporting me and all of this, and giving me a job and

comin' out tonight and seein' a bunch of amazing bands and then us.

[crowd cheers]

David: You's, you guys have helped snow my mom just enough in her being proudof me. So [laughing] thank you very much. And thank you to Mix 93 for playin' this
