Note from Conference manager

JUMP IN is a national conference of AIESEC Cameroon focusing on Induction and motivation of new members recruited during the months of October and November.

Pondering for a change, this edition focuses on Induction, motivation and Leadership Development. The slogan – The new flavour is here signifies the new experience that a stake holder would get out of the conference, as the conference theme becomes more challenging, resourceful and We are sure it would leave you satisfied.

All the LCs are expected to give their members a great induction period with respect to the organizational understanding and JUMP IN would be a test of your performance regarding that.

A little in the logo: The logo was designed in random without any much meaning considered. It was an exercise to the Faci applicants, to explain the meaning of the Logo as we wanted to get our members thinking. We have got amazing responses which would be compiled and made available to all during the actual days of the conference.

All the activities in AIESEC Cameroon this year, would be circling around 5 key words – ACT, DISCOVER, LEARN, SHARE, GROW and I should say JUMP IN 2011 is no exception. All the delegates who wish to attend this conference must possess an open mind to learn and courageous enough to reveal themselves. Bring in that, and we will show you growth.

Again, I would want to stress upon the theme of the conference. The sessions planned are carefully designed after long hours of

discussion with students from top business schools in USA, Europe and India. Also various Industry professionals in my network assisted me with certain topics that can assist you with having a successful career in the future. We are going to focus on giving you skills that can enhance your sustainability in the competitive world more than the conventional AIESEC Organizational Understanding. Thus, I request all the LC EBs to take a serious note in clearly educating your new members regarding AIESEC and get them prepared for the best ever conference in the history of AIESEC Cameroon and the most knowledgeable conference in the entire AIESEC Network. Yes, I mean it.

Welcoming you all to be a part of JUMP IN 2011.

With Regards

Koushik Vaidhinathan

Awaited conducts from delegates

Being a delegate at this conference does not only involve participating in the conference itself, but entails that your commitment begin now and continue at least for the following year thereby making sure that every knowledge acquired is put into achieving results for you as an individual and your local committee. Infact, we are not just working for a 4 days event, but for a process that should involve and benefit AIESEC in Cameroon.

Before the Conference

Participate in your LC conference preparation meetings, where you will understand what you should take away from the conference that will benefit and bring growth to your local committee.

As delegates, you will be the representative and ambassador of your country/LC, and you should make sure that you bring to the conference not only your own input, but also the view of AIESEC in your country/LC. This is to make sure that the conference is relevant to all of us.

Please read this booklet very well to make an understanding out of it and if possible, print it and bring a copy along with you to the conference. Also, confirm from your LCP or the EB, if you have been approved for this conference.

The organizing Committee will send emails about the events that will take place at the conference, so you need to following up, go through your mails and come to the conference prepared with all the material required of you.

By this, we mean materials that you need to participate in one activity or the other, global village , opening ceremony, parties, study tour etc.

Finally, make sure that you arrive the conference on arrival day, on time and get registered as a delegate.

During the Conference:

Jump’in 2011 will consist of a number of different sessions, where you will be trained and develop skills to use in the competitive world from the conference. Be as proactive as possible, not only attending all the sessions, but committing to contribute with your own input and that of your country/LC and make sure that you make use of all the informal networking opportunities.

The conference will also host 200 delegates; therefore, you are required to observe all conference rules, like: Room rules, plenary rules, facility use and time table.

In addition, the extent and scope of your learning at Jump ‘in 2011 will entirely be in your hands. The Facilitators and trainers will give their best to make sure they deliver a tight content.

After the Conference:

The outcome of Jump’ in 2011 will be clearly seen from the results shown by you as an individual and your LC after the conference this year. As you all know, a book or any learning package is only as good as those who use it. The output of the conference will be more useful if we all take it back to our LCs and do some good with it.

Therefore we recommend that you take a proactive role in promoting the output by sharing your learning experience with all those people back in your country/LC who didn’t make it to the conference or who didn’t attend some tracks you attended
