Methodology of ACS
Monthly sample, cumulative 3% each year. Systematic sample of Master Address File. Housing unit sample—no group quarters. Mail survey, with CATI & CAPI follow-up. Totals controlled to age, sex, race & ethnicity
estimates for county for July 1 of each year. Multi-year figures are averages of years. Residence based on two-month rule, not “usual”
residence.
