Lathrem Senior Center Holiday HoursLathrem will be closed on Wednesday, July 4

in observance of Independence Day.

Lathrem Center Art Bio:Glen & Pat BuellGlen and Pat have both been interested in photography most of their lives. When Glen retired from teaching and began organizing Pat’s kitchen, she then decided they both had to find a challenging hobby. That led them to a beginning photography class in Phoenix. Pat borrowed a camera that was Scotch taped together. The reward was a Blue Ribbon photo. They visited many art museums, photo exhibits and local shows, met many interesting folks, and learned of the Focus Camera Club. That is where they began to grow from member support, hints and critiques.Glen fell in love with the digital camera and Photoshop processing. He still uses the Nikon D90. He was awarded “Best of Show” at the Greene County Fair in 2015 for his photo of “Mesa Arch”. Pat’s first place winning shot of “Crazy Horse” was featured prominently in the Road Scholar/Elderhostel annual catalogue, 2007.Their favorites to shoot are waterfalls, landscapes, barns and parallel lines, street scenes. They take workshops when possible. Long distance travel is no longer possible, but they keep their eyes open every day so they don’t miss “that shot”. Maybe one of their images will bring back a pleasant memory. They are all for sale with a matte and frame or without a frame, or just the photo.

Glen and Pat wish to thank Charles I. Lathrem Senior Center

for this opportunity to share.
