Final NSAP Cycle 1 report (only for those services who reported Cycle 1 pre June 30 2010) This will only be visible for services who reported their Cycle 1 self assessment prior to June 30 2010. The tle for this report has changed and is now called an interim report (as above). 2011 NSAP Annual Self Assessment Report Each year NSAP will provide an annual report at the end of each financial year with your service data represented in comparison to the na onal aggregate data set. In 2010 for example, we had an aggregate data set of 69 services for comparison; this has grown to 108 services for 2011. Your historical reports (Cycle 1 / Cycle 2 etc.) will always remain on the webpage for access. What about collated audit reports? These reports will also be loaded to your webpage to enable you to have a repository for all your NSAP reports in the one area. Accessing the webpage A username and password to access your service’s NSAP repor ng webpage is provided to the NSAP Liaison Officer. If this posi on changes please let the team know so we can reallocate access. The NSAP team con nue to work on improving our data management and repor ng systems. If you have any comments in rela on to the systems outlined above, please contact us.

NSAP Ac vity across Australia The NSAP team developed a poster that outlines ac vity from services par cipa ng in NSAP across Australia. This was displayed at the Australian Pallia ve Care Conference in Cairns and will be available at future NSAP ac vi es. The poster demonstrates visually the work in con nuous quality improvement by pallia ve care services through NSAP, a great achievement. Our challenge now is to keep the momentum going, with many services due to commence Cycle 2 self assessments in the months ahead. We look forward to suppor ng you with this work.

Tip of the month ‐ Planning, Planning, Planning Before embarking on making changes, take some me to think about the real source of the issue and what

strategies might make an impact on this. Then consider how you would measure that change has occurred, so you

can see whether your strategy leads to an improvement. The NSAP team are happy to discuss this further with you

if this would be helpful. Please contact Helen Vaz for further support.
