A message from your Lieutenant Governor!
Previous DCM
Greetings, Divi-
sion 6 Penguins!
This past month
has been a great
month with lots of
progress for our
division! We have
had our Officer
Training Confer-
ence held at UCR,
of which, I hope,
many of you offi-
cers can take a lot
back from!
I myself have just
came back from
the sizzling state
of Arizona, where
the 2011 Interna-
tional Conven-
tion was held!
There, we have
elected our Inter-
national Board,
met many others
across the world,
been inspired by
inspirational
speakers, learned
more about Ki-
wanis projects
such as Project
ELIMINATE, and
had an overall
good time! Learn
more about ICON
inside this news-
letter! Take care,
D6 Penguins!
and salsa! Kelly Wang
(D36W LTG), Nick
Sianipar (D36E LTG),
and Charmaine LeBlanc
(MRS Chair) have
helped in presenting
workshops, and special
guests Lynne Nguyen
(36E IP LTG) and Mav-
erick Teague (D47 IP
LTG) were present.
Our last DCM had
taken place at the Uni-
versity of California,
Riverside on Saturday,
June 25th, from 12-4pm.
Attendees learned
about officer positions
and information about
clubs, mingled with peo-
ple of division 6 AND 47,
learned more about Cir-
cle K, and ate some deli-
cious chow mein and lasa-
gna with a side of chips

Meet your new Divisional Board!
Virgiline Ongkingco—Executive Assistant
Below is our new divisional board! These people will be serving
you closely throughout the Key Club year. Get to know them!
Hey you guys, I'm Virgiline. I'm one of the new executive assistants on
the divisional board. I go to King High school part of class 2013! This
upcoming year, I'm looking forward to a more tightly knit division with
more penguin spirit! Which I hope will result from more attendance at
the DCM's! I'm also looking forward to more participation in our com-
munities for improvement!
I applied for this position because I actually enjoy the DCM's and like to
contribute to the divisional board. I wasn't in key club to begin with, but
some of my friends encouraged me to attend the DCM's and I have a lot
of fun there. So, I applied as executive assistant to help our LTG in any-
ways to recruit new members and help increase the participation and
spirit!

Juliana Deer—Executive Assistant
Hello D6 Penguins!
What's up?! My name is Juliana Deer! I like rocks, food, being a servant
leader, long waddles in the South Pole as well as the D6 area, and am
proud to have been appointed as one of your divisional board members
as an executive assistant!
I am currently attending John F. Kennedy Middle College High School
in Norco and will be graduating as a member of the class of 2013. Al-
though I can be extremely awkward, I am most excited for and very
much looking forward to meeting and giving service with all of you!

Valerie Kwee—Divisional Secretary /
Newsletter Editor (for now) Hello Key Clubbers!!
My name is Valerie Kwee and I will be your Divisional Secretary for the
2011-2012 year. Because we will be working together for a whole year, I
would like to introduce myself. I am a freshman at Eleanor Roosevelt
High School and am a new member in Key Club. I joined Key Club to
become more active within the community and to enhance my social
skills.
Although I am new to Key Club, I decided to run for the position of Di-
visional Secretary because I feel that I will be able to put my skills to
good use under this position. I know we will have a great year together
and I look forward to working with you all. :)

part in volunteering with
their Kiwanians to help with
the set up of a Kiwanis
Celebration for the Eastvale
Kiwanis anniversary! Mem-
bers have helped with the
overall setting up and clean-
ing up, and have assisted the
Kiwanians in any way neces-
sary. Key Clubbers have
definetly bonded with their
fellow Kiwanians, and have
enjoyed food and activities,
such as a watermelon eat-
ing contest!
