WELCOMEWelcome to the latest issue of our Members Magazine. This issue will cover the events for the next three months, July – September. With winter well and truly upon us, many of us are pulling out the slow cookers to indulge in some good old-fashioned comfort food. Why not leave it up to us to provide you with one of our great meals available from our three food outlets. Our wood fired pizzas, Harrys Rainbow steak or homemade soup from Green’s Café will hit the spot on a cold winter’s night!

I would like to take this opportunity to say what a memorable day this Anzac Day was, a special thank you to all of our volunteers who worked tirelessly on the day to make it such a success. Anzac Day is the time to reflect on those who served and sacrificed to keep us safe, and never before has that message been stronger. A big thank you to Les Fitzgerald whom whilst battling ill health still had the strength to lead the service, in addition Xavier, who travelled from Sydney to play the last post.Planning is well underway for all the upcoming Major Bowls events. We are proud to be hosting The State Pennant Finals (29 July – 1 August), The Prestige Fours (17 – 19 August) and the State Championships (15 – 22 October). We look forward to welcoming all the visiting competitors and spectators. The Main Bar and Greens Café celebrate their 1st Birthday in August. I invite you to come in for a “Big Birthday Burger and Beer” $14.90 meal deal. With a double meat patty, bacon and smoky barbeque sauce on a sour dough roll, it’s not to be missed.Our entertainment and marketing team have been hard at work securing acts like Daryl Braithwaite here in September, and at the same time looking at some new and exciting promotions. We are looking forward to giving away some great prizes in the months ahead.Our craft beer school held in May was a huge success. The feedback was invaluable, so watch this space for more events. Festive Fridays continue as this has been popular with our members, taking the opportunity to try some of our craft beers for only $4 between 5-7pm on Fridays. I look forward to seeing you around the club.
