JCB Construction and Power Products dealer Maquinas E Tractores de Angola (MTA) has sold a G115QS diesel generator to a construction business in Luanda, Angola.

The G115QS has been fitted to provide back-up power to a large high tech car repair shop to maintain business as usual should the mains power fail. Construction firm Anshao Internacional LDS build houses for rental, malls and

JCB Generators are supporting major construction sites along the Zhu Bridge development between Hong Kong and Macau.

The major bridge project is set to stretch 50km across the ocean and is the first project

to join the two countries together to reduce travel time between Macau and Hong Kong from 3 hours to just 30 minutes. Last year, Hong Kong rental company, Dynamic City deployed JCB generators to many construction sites across the city to support

the development of the bridge. Generators were installed to power equipment such as cranes and crushers.

This year, as the construction project develops, JCB Dealer Sun Shing has sold a number

of generators and lighting towers to Leighton Construction Asia, to also help contribute to the Zhu Hai project. These models are being used to power construction rest areas, including the construction cabins for the many workers.

JCB Power Products entered the Indian Power market this year with the launch of three models from 63-100kVA.

The products have been manufactured to meet new power emission regulations across India. The concerns

of fuel consumption and emissions have shaped legislation on diesel generator sets most recently; in order to ensure fuel efficient and less polluting diesel generator sets are sold in the country. The new

QI models achieve Indian Government regulations for efficiency and emissions for diesel generators.

As well as launching new products, 15 new dealers have been appointed across India to take on the

Power Products business selling generators into the domestic market. New market sectors have also been targeted including restaurants, hospitals, hotels and commercial properties to continue the successful growth.

ile luxury villas. Each villa costs around $1.5 million to buy and are fitted with all the latest technology, fixtures and features.

When building the luxury village, the construction company identified reliable power as a necessity for the superior properties to maintain the

power supply. The G275QX was the ideal power solution for powering 25 villas, should the mains power fail. The customer not only wanted reliability, but also a visually appealing product to blend into the surrounding area with a recognised brand, as well as low noise levels for minimum disturbance.

Izumi said, “Being given the responsibility for powering 25 villas that cost over 1.5 million dollars each, It shows how the promoters have faith in our quality of service and products”.

A Mauritian Restaurant owner is extremely happy with the noise level of his new QS generator.

A Restaurant owner in Mauritius has bought a G65QS generator to power his restaurant and maintain service. The restaurant, located in a popular tourist village, receives thousands of visitors every year. The unstable mains power on the island means that the restaurant owner required a backup power solution to provide reliable power should the mains power fail.

The customer chose a JCB generator for the renowned reliability and productivity of the JCB machines. The generator had to be located on the roof of the restaurant due to space restrictions and because of this the model had to deliver low sound levels – so it would not disturb customers dining in the restaurant.

Once placed on the roof of the restaurant, the customer was still worried that the generator would be too loud. However, the owners were very happy to see how silent the generator was.

The owner said, “It was so silent that when we started it for the first time, nobody inside the restaurant knew it was running! We are very pleased with the product.”

POWER PLANT PROJECTILLUMINATE SHUQAIQ


The Shuqaiq Steam Power Plant (SSPP) project located in Jazan province on the Red Sea coast is a 2,640 MW oil-fired steam power plant and is an example of Saudi Electricity Co.’s (SEC’s) initiatives to secure the Kingdom’s power potential for the future.

Construction of the $3.3 billion plant is already

underway, and is scheduled to be finished in 2017. The Plant will utilize supercritical pressure technology to generate electricity and to operate at extremely high steam pressure thereby significantly reducing the amount of fuel needed and the pollutants created in the process. The project is estimated to produce

enough electricity to service 2 million people once it is completed in 2017.

Hyundai Heavy Industries was awarded the EPC contract for the project in the summer of 2013. The equipment scope of the project also fit perfectly with EEIC’s power & automation portfolio providing weighty prospects for business.

JCB Power Products dealer Abahsain is working together with Shuqaiq Power Plant to supply and maintain lighting 24/7. A range of 20 LTM9’s have been distributed across the site and Abahsan will continue to maintain the units to keep the project running.
