PARISH COUNCIL UPDATE A key outcome from the Archdiocese's Making All Things New initiative was creation of a St. Stanislaus Parish Council. The Council has been in place since last September, focusing on identifying leadership, establishing committees, and prioritizing parish needs. The Council's role is to advise Father Jay in the areas of liturgy, buildings and grounds, faith formation, service/ecumenism, social activities, and parish finances. The preliminary financial report referenced in last week's bulletin, and to be released shortly, was prepared by the Council's Finance Committee. The Council will resume regular meetings in September. Meeting dates and times will be publicized in advance in the bulletin. All interested parishioners are invited to attend. Starting in September, minutes from Council meetings will be posted on the Parish website and will also be available hard copy. In the meantime, questions about the Council may be directed to Father Jay or to any of the Council Officers: Kevin Sullivan (Chair), Chris Andrews (Vice Chair), Diane McCarron (Secretary), and Roger Hof (Making All Things New liaison).

RENEW AND REBUILD IN PEW COMMITMENT: RESULTS We are very happy to announce the following results of last Sunday’s appeal: # of gifts received @5:30 - 5 8:15 - 16 11:00 - 8 Total of pledges $88,000 # who are still praying over decision: 38 We are now above goal and every dollar that comes in stays right here at St Stanislaus! You may continue to make your pledges over the summer months. You may do so by returning the pledge form to the rectory or directly to the Archdiocese or online. (see cards for the addresses ). Please remember that every gift is important and that we, as a parish need to pull together and be involved in determining the future of our parish NOT ONLY “REBUILDING” …BUT RENEWING Many exciting opportunities for spiritual and community renewal are being planned for the upcoming year – beginning in September .All will be ironed out over the Summer months by the Parish Staff for our families as well as older adults.

Weekly Scripture Discussion One of the opportunities will be for an “Opening the Word” discussion of the upcoming Sunday readings each week on a weekday evening. The goal is to enliven the Sunday scriptures with background of the readings and allowing the Word of God to enter our hearts. This is available to us through FORMED ( subscription funded by the Archdiocese’s Renew and Rebuild campaign ) and we are grateful for the chance to offer this insight to our parishioners In addition, you will be hearing about a series of short video clips which will be offered to our Religious Ed parents ( and anyone who would like to join ) on Knowing the Faith and Living the Faith on Tuesday Wednesday afternoons from 5-6pm . More to follow on this . Please let us know if you are interested! Other fun activities are in the works …so stay tuned!!

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL WAS A SUCCESS!!
