One of the most novel and attractive entertainm ents ever arranged in Carmel is to take place tomorrow evening a t the hall of iho A rts and Crafts.
A very fine exhiiiii of original posters, subm itted in the Red Cross competition, has been arranged, and everyone present will be allowed to cast a ballott for the poster they like best.
The Carmel O rchestra has been en raged for dance music and between dances a valuable silk sweater will be disposed of. Then there will be more dances preceding the auction ° f the kelp dolls from Big Sur.
And on top of it all re fresh ments will be served. I t can’t be beat for 35 cents.

The speaker will be Michael Williams, and his subject ‘‘The Story of Junipero Berra: Ideal P ioneer.” The program of music will be announced later. Admission will t)D 25 cents.
Following the entertainm ent the will be Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament, given by Rev. R. M. Mestres, pastor of this parish. This will be the first Benediction service in the old Mission for nearly one hundred years.

At a recent m eeting of the Boys’ Club, Mr. Michael Williams told the boys of his experiences on the flagship California, off the coast of Mexico, and ciosed his talk with an appeal to patriotism.
Last Saturday a number of the boys, under the direction of Mr. S. C. Thomas, had an early b reakfast on the beach, and then went on a short "h ik e .” Incidentally t h e y learned how to make willow whistles. They are looking forward to the next evevt, which they hope will be a camping trip.
