THE LECTOR TODAY is Elder Blanche Skinner. Blanche is a member of the Prop-erty Management Ministry.

THANK YOU FOR VISITING WITH US TODAY! We are happy to share this Sun-day with you and hope you come back soon! Please fill out the yellow card and be sure to include your name, address, and phone number for our records. If you are in-terested in membership at Paxton Church, please indicate this when the friendship folder is passed or speak to the Pastor or Lector following worship. THE FLORAL ARRANGEMENT in the chancel this morning is placed in honor of Joe Frank, who is turning 14 on July 3rd with love from Bob, Tara and Sam Frank. . THE USHERS joyfully serving the month of July: Tom Clark, Captain; Bob Frank, Norm Daniels, Dave Elder, Rebecca Haner, Ryan Haskins, John Palmer, William Sanford, Michael Trephan.

TODAY Pastor Green will greet at the porch door. The lector will greet at the parlor door and an usher will greet at the south door.

COINS FOR CARING in the month of July will benefit the Humane Society as desig-nated by the Mission and Outreach Ministry.

The Worship and Music Ministry has recommended to Session that our worship service time be moved to 10:15 AM starting September 9, 2018, with the Church School time remaining at 9:00 AM. This recommendation was made to Session with two primary objectives in mind - 1. To allow adequate time for Church School teachers to present lesson material.

This would also allow the younger classes to have time to incorporate music activi-ties on a regular basis. An additional benefit for the adults is that those needing to leave class to gather for choir or bell choir would not miss as much of the lesson.

2. To allow adequate time for all those walking from church school classes to the sanctuary to do so in a safe and unhurried manner. While it is Session who will decide if this recommendation will be implemented, any thoughts you might have about this suggestion are welcomed. Please direct any com-munication to either a member of the Worship and Music Ministry (Becca Haner, Con-nie Cochran, Carol McCall, Richard Fowler, Jeanne Bruce) or to a Session member.

My name is Lelia Elizabeth Webb-Simmons. My mom is Sharon Webb and my brother is Tyler Webb-Simmons.

I am 15 years old and attend Harrisburg Academy. In school I participate in choir, orchestra, cross country, swim-ming, and track and field. Outside of school, I play travel soccer year round.

I have been a Girl Scout for seven years and enjoy helping people in and outside of my local community.

I enjoy spending time with my family.

Paxton Church is in the process of converting our membership and contribution software to a new vendor. We believe this will be an improvement over the previous system, but all change comes with its challenges. The financial staff appreciates your understanding as we work through this process. One way you can help is by always placing your envelope number and pur-pose of your payment on the check memo line so it can be cred-ited to the proper member and fund account. As we move for-ward, we will keep the congregation informed of new features we may be able to utilize in this software. Thank you.

Rachel Hitz, daughter of Elder Doug and Mrs. Janet Hitz, is a sophomore at Bishop McDevitt High School. She is currently an honor roll student at McDevitt and plans to work very hard in the coming years to keep that status.

She is involved with the Choir, Concert Band, Chorale, and Marching Band at McDevitt. Rachel is also involved with the Spring Musicals, most recently including Hello! Dolly. Rachel is very excited for the coming school year. Rachel is also active within the Susquehanna Youth Cho-ral Society.

Rachel would like to pursue a career in Actuarial Science or Engineering, with a Master’s in Business Administration. Her college is yet to be determined.

Rachel would like to stay a member of Paxton for the rest of her life and plans to join the adult

choir after college.
