Juliet Lakeheart is a sweet, friendly 5 year old. Herbirthday is on August 26th which is only four days away. Shewants her party theme to be a dog theme so much because sheloves her own dog, Princess. Juliet and her friend, Mia, are sittingin her backyard and starting to plan what they should have atJuliet’s birthday party.. One idea was to have all the people whoare coming to the party bring their dogs. The other idea wasthey could have a fashion show for dogs and their owners. The

owners would dress up their dogs and then put them in theprincess tent that leads out onto the walkway.. Then the ownerswould sit back and relax and watch the show. Lastly, all thepeople who came would have a piece of cake and the dogswould get a treat.

Then, the girls skipped into the house and said “ We knowwhat the theme is going to to be.”

“Hold on girls I am talking on the phone.”“O Yes so you can borrow her” said the mom.“Mom, who are you talking to?” said Juliet.“O No one,” said the mom.

Then she listened to Juliet’s plan. She said yes to the plan for theparty..

Juliet said, “Hey Mia do you want to go play withPrincess”?

“Ok”, said Mia. Then they got Princess and started playingwith her, but then Princess let out a quiet, distracted “ruff”.

“O That means she is hungry. Let’s go get some food for her andus, ok” Juliet said. “Ok”, Mia said. So they went inside.

But they did not know that their neighbor was coming to getPrincess. Juliet’s mom told her on the phone that she couldborrow Princess. The neighbor went and opened the gate thatseparates the neighbor’s yard from Juliet’s yard, took Princess,and closed the gate.When the girls came back they all said, ”O OH NO! PRINCESS ISGONE! WHERE CAN SHE BE!!!!!!!!!!” Then Juliet started to wonderedshe was with someone else or if had she run away.

..........“WE've GOT TO GO TELL YOUR MOM!!!” they all went inside,

up the stairs, and into Juliet’s mom’s room yelled all at the sametime.

”We have very bad news for you.” “What ?” said her mom not at all surprised.“We don’t know where princess is. And my birthday is in

three days.”“Really,” her mom said not surprised at all.“You girls should go on the computer and print up some

posters that say “DOG LOST CALL THIS NUMBER IF YOU FIND HER,”said the mom.

“That is a brilliant idea Mom, Thanks!” said Juliet...........

They went to the computer and printed up the posters.Took the stapler with them and headed toward the door. Onthe three corners they took turns stapling one of the posters on

the telephone poles.“Finally we are done” said Mia.“I know right?”“Lets go back to your house before it is late, OK?”“Ok” said Juliet.

........When they got back to the house Juliet’s mom was talking

on the phone and this is what they heard“Yes, she can sleep over today ‘til the day after the

birthday”.Then Mia and Juliet said, “ So who is sleeping over, Mom?”“Mia is,” said her mom.“We have two more days until my birthday” said Juliet.

Then they went to bed and when they woke up the nextmorning they went down stairs and started to watch Tv.Then Juliet and Mia went out. to have breakfast outside. Theyoverheard the neighbor saying “you can do it yes you can go gogo.”

“What are you doing?” Juliet asked the neighbor.“Oh I am just making and putting together your birthday

present because it’s a surprise for you” replied the neighbor.

“Ok,” said Juliet...........

After that Mia told Juliet that she was going inside. WhenMia got inside she started looking for Juliet’s mom. Then sheheard.

“Oh yes, did you see the dog?”Mia ran upstairs and went into Juliet’s room and picked up

the phone. The other person said, “Oh yes I saw the dog in mysisters yard.”

Mia rushed down stairs and went outside and told Julietabout what she heard on the phone. Juliet and Mia ran toJuliet’s mom.

“We heard you on the phone. Where is Princess? what isgoing on!?”

“The neighbor got a new dog and wanted to see if Princesscould play.”

“Oh sorry about that, Mom. We are going to outside now,”said Juliet. Went outside and sat down near the gate.

“Mia I can’t believe my mom said this crazy thing that wasnot even true” said Juliet ”What is going on?” I miss Princess.”

After that, they went to bed and when they woke up thenext morning something happened. Everybody was alreadyoutside ready to celebrate Juliet’s 5th birthday party. It wasalready time for the owners to watch the dogs come out of thetent. Juliet and Mia went outside to watch the dog show. Julietwas confused and sad. Why were they still having the partywithout Princess Juliet thought.

Snow came out and snow looked like a little poodle then shecalled princess but nobody knew that the neighbor had putprincess into the tent and princess came out when she wascalled and everybody cheered and shouted and juliet and miawere so happy they ran over to princess and gave her a hugehug. The neighbor was teaching Princess a trick so that Princesscould show Juliet that for her birthday.
