Hello Everyone!
Happy Thanksgiving!! What a wonderful time
of year to count our blessings and celebrate all that
we have. I have so much to be grateful for. My
husband and kids. My family and Grandma!!! And all
of you here!! This month we also celebrate Veteran’s
Day. Let’s all take a moment to show gratitude and
appreciation to all of our veterans and to our friends
and family that we hold near and dear.
After a busy October here at the center we’re not slowing
things down much! Kicking off this month we will have the Flu shots
on Friday, November 1 from 10:00 to 1:00 pm. Costco will be here
with membership information as well Christina from Veterans Affairs
to share information and resources. Also, for a little bit of fun, a
representative from Color Street nails will be here!
The Senior Center Bus will be heading to Mancino’s for the
Lunch Bunch on November 13, to MJR theatre on November 20, and
to Twelve Oaks shopping mall to hit the Black Friday Early Bird sales
on November 27!! I can’t wait for that one!! :) Also this month,
Beltone Hearing will be here for hearing checks and a ten step
hearing instrument check up on November 22 at 12:00 pm.
The Livingston County Ladies Club will be dropping off the
Dove Giving Tree in the beginning of the month. All gifts need to be
returned to the center by the end of November. Also this month,
Livingston County Catholic Charities will be collecting items for their
Christmas Blessings Project. A list of items is located in the
newsletter. All items need to be at the center by December 4th so
baskets can be distributed by Christmas.
Calling all bakers!!!! We would love to have you bake
something delicious for our bake sale at our annual Holiday Bazaar!!
This year the bazaar will be on Saturday, November 16, from 9:00 am
to 2:00 pm. There’s a sign up sheet on the lobby table to work at the
bazaar and also for all the yummy goodness you can bake!!
Looking ahead to December!?! Our Kiwanis Christmas party
will be on Tuesday, December 3,2019. Tickets will go on sale Friday,
November 1! Tickets cost $5 each. Stop by the office to pick them
up.
Have a wonderful month!!
