Juicing and blending in a raw diet. Which is better?

There is quite a lot of controversy about whether we should blend or juice our food as part of a raw food diet. Most people who come to raw should be going with both and make it a priority to purchase a blender and a slow turning juicer. These items can be quite expensive but are an essential part of the any raw kitchen and the really good ones will last a long time For cleansing the body then vegetable juicing is much the better option. What these two processes do is unlock the vital nutrients in the foods we eat as otherwise they would go straight through us. Take for example spinach All the nutrients are stored in the plant wall so unless we chew on the leaf for a long time, and who has that time, then we are not going to absorb all those nutrients If you blend a leaf in a super fast blender such as a Vita Mix then that plant wall is broken down and the nutrients released. Add some sweet fruit like a banana and you have a great tasting and nutritious meal. However you should be careful not to overdose on all the other stuff like green powders cacao and heavy oils, as this will create digestive problems. Also a blender moves at high speed and generates heat, which can destroy enzymes so add a couple of ice cubes. Of juicing you need a slow turning juicer that grinds out the nutrients and leaves little pulp behind. Feed the leafs in slowly so the juicer does not get overloaded. One other good thing is that a juicer is easier to clean than a blender. With mine it's just a few seconds under the tap whereas the blender takes forever as you try to clean around the blades down at the bottom of the bowl. So the juice has had all of it's pulp removed so it all goes straight into your blood stream putting minimal pressure on your digestive system. Make sure you user the strainer when juicing to ensure all the pulp stays out of your body. Also savour the juice like you do a smoothie don't just gulp it down. Ensure you have your juice first thing in the morning when you have an empty stomach. Then once you've had the juice wait 20 to 30 minutes before you have anything else. This gives the juice time to get though the digestive wall without interference from any other food.
