WAVE HEIGHTAll boards are tested and developed through hours of surfing by the team and JS (tough job) and the wave heights illustrated (in the coloured circles) are what R&D have found best suits that model. FIN ICONS.The fin icon next to each board model gives you an idea on what fin set-ups that model was designed to work best with. The fin type displayed will be the way you will find it in store - Unless custom ordered. See below for explanations on each fin variation.
Twin fin + Stabilizer (2 large side fins and a small back trailer fin).
The option to alternate between any of the fin variations.
Conventional 3 fin setup. Quad setup (2 standard side fins and 2 trailer back fins).
MEDIUM RAILSMost common rail type for thickness and shape.
FULL RAILSGenerally applied to certain styles of boards that need floatation. ie: small waves or heavy weight surfers.
FLAT DECK FULL RAILSFlat deck for floatation full/soft rails to prevent catching through turns.
FLAT DECK MED RAILSFlat deck for floatation, medium rails for forgiving performance
MEDIUM FULL RAILSHigher volume performance rail.
RAIL TYPE.These are a basic guide only. There are many rail variances that change slightly on every model, all the way from very low and hard to full and soft. We have broken these into 5 simple descriptions to give an idea on where that model’s rail type sits. The letters next to the icons give you an idea on the characteristics of that rail type.
GLASSING ICONS.These codes will give you instant information on the weight of that boards glass and an understanding of its strength. They are also there to help you decide on a glassing weight if ordering a custom board, talk further with your Traktor dealer for more information.

“MONSTA” model has proven itself to be the new age Pro model ridden by Bruce Irons, Julian Wilson and Dusty Payne along with many of the world’s best WCT surfers
throughout 2011. MONSTA is the all round short board built to cope with a large variety of conditions from clean and small to junky and solid. The entry is flatter than a normal pro model with a deep single concave running into a deep double concave through the fins. The
monsta tail rocker provides a lot more tail release coming out of the lip.
Monsta is specifically built to work with the futuristic moves being executed daily by the best new school surfers in the world. The flat entry creates instant acceleration and
more momentum between turns. The rails are fuller and the general outline is wider than previous short boards. JS recommends that you ride this board 1- 2 inches
shorter than normal pro models
MEDIUM EXIT ROCKERIs a comfortable balance between drive and release.Suits largest range of conditions
LITTLE (SLIGHT) ENTRY ROCKERBest rocker for creating speed and
glide in small to average conditions.

This is the model derived from what Joel calls “best board ever”. After getting creased in the Semi finals of the Quiky Pro it was left in the factory for repair only to be lost in
some lonely, dusty corner. One year later it was found, dusted off and the bromance was restored. The slight single/double concave under front foot, deeper double through the fins and flatter rocker
all combine to make this board one of Joels all time favorites.

All winning combinations suited to 80kg/
176lbs plus surfers who appreciate volume boards and sensitivity combined.

The Kingpin’s unique design and variable fin setup makes it the fastest cross over board from 1 to 6 feet. Ride this board 3-4 inches shorter than normal.
RECOMMENDED WAVE HEIGHTDepending on fins and conditions, Kingpin is designed to perform best in quality waves from 1 - 6 feet.
RAIL TYPEKingpin has a Flat deck for extra float and medium rail shape that allows for forgiving performance.
FIN SETUPKingpin comes stock with a 5 fin (variable set up). As a highly versatile board it can accommodate a range of fin set ups for all variations of surf and surfers.

The “Pier Pony” is by far the most directional small wave board ever released by JS.Specifically built for really weak and boring waves, the Pier Pony will make those lousy
surf days a whole lot of fun.The constant flow of Vee running from the nose entry through to the tail help overcome the flatest rocker in the JS range. This vee creates quick transitions from rail to rail
enabling you to gather speed through the weakest and flatest sections.JS has left a lot of volume throughout the board with a flat deck and full rail, making
sure you are hovering over every section and avoiding any bog down time.
It might sound extreme but we recommend you ride this board 8- 10 inches shorter than normal.
RECOMMENDED WAVE HEIGHTPIER PONY is designed for the smallest weakest days when you normally wouldn’t surf.
RAIL TYPEPIER PONY has a Flat deck full rail shape that allow extra forgivness in small and testing conditions.
FIN SETUPPIER PONY comes stocko' with a 5 fin (variable set up). As a highly versatile board it can accommodate a range of fin set ups for all variations of surf and surfers (2+1, thruster and Quad).
GLASSINGPIER PONY comes stock with regular glass in a 4 deck and 4 bottom with 4 toe patch. Designed the lightest possible for smallest surf.
FLAT EXIT ROCKERFlat exit rocker is good for maintaining speed. Performs well in medium sized surf and can handle hard fast turns.
FLAT ENTRY ROCKERFlat entry rocker is best rocker
for creating speed and glide. Suits small weak conditions.

RocknRoll was developed to perform in all types of conditions and in particular weak waves under 3 feet.
JS added more outline curve to this model than all other models in the Summer Series. This outline creates less catch and a really free flowing feeling to an otherwise super flat rocker with deep single into double concaves. The added little feature is a light vee out
of the tail that helps to get the board on rail quicker through turns.
RECOMMENDED WAVE HEIGHTDepending on fins and conditions, RnR is designed to perform best in average to quality conditions from 0 - 3 feet.
RAIL TYPERnR has a full rail shape that allows for extra forgivness.

Blak Box was number 1 biggest seller of 2011 and is still a strong favourite.JS spent a lot of time on this model combining old school outlines with the latest bottom curves. It offers a fuller, curvy outline with a higher and more defined hip, pulled from the fins into a straighter tail through to a wider pod. With the flat deck, extra foam and slight double concave under your chest, you will find this board fast and forgiving in testing
conditions. Ride this board 3-4 inches shorter than normal.
RECOMMENDED WAVE HEIGHTDepending on fins and conditions, BLAK BOX is designed to perform best in quality waves from 0 - 4 feet.
RAIL TYPEBlak Box has a flatter deck than most models. Its rails are set just low enough to give you maximum performance in good waves without catching in less favorable conditions.

The 427 is specifically built with extra volume and is renowned for being the chunkiest model in the JS range. JS has targeted the bigger guy who likes a performance board with vee double concave for quick acceleration and rail to rail transition. 427kw is super forgiving and fast from start to finish. Luke Egan spent many hours working hard with JS to produce this model that paddles well and performs like models that are much finer.

Like all of the bigger guys on our team Luke is always working on a small wave board that can take his surfing to new levels. While many choose the LE model as the big guy’s solution from 6’4- 6’6, others take advantage of the evolution of the LE small wave series from 6’1- 6’3 with really flat entry, hidden meat in the right areas and an overall generous amount of volume that the LE model provides for surfers 86kgs/ 190lbs and over. LE
model performance will surprise you over and over again.

Bruce has taken free surfing to new levels since retiring from contest surfing in 2008. In this time he has ridden everything that JS has thrown at him. The time out has given both Bruce and JS some awesome feedback on new designs that work in all conditions from Cal to Kauai. Finally we have a new Bruce model that resembles the old with finer features, flat entry & single to double concave. The new twist comes from a blended mix of small wave model features coming from R&D sessions using a variety of new equipment
over the past year.

The Vee/ Concave/ Vee combination in the CV8 makes this model the most unique design in the entire JS range. Its flatter rocker along with its exceptional drive and release characteristics makes it a proven favorite. This board was the catalyst for the X-Series and made the original cross over from conventional shortboard to shorter, wider
performance boards. Ride your CV8 2 inches shorter 1/4 inch wider.

Once in a while you get that winning model that everyone can enjoy in all conditions from 1- 6 feet. Someone we knew stole this board from JS just after creation and to this date tells us that Konfusion is his favorite board of all time. This says a lot coming from a someone who might have won a few world titles. The “KONFUSION” is a new addition to the JS “X Series” category. Expect the ultimate performance board with the extra
