What we do
“AFJROTC has helped me grow as a person to meet new kids and stay organized. Not only that, but it’s made sure I keep my grades up and taught me how to become a great leader for my future. As well as, given me opportunities to influence others and help them become the best leaders that they can be.”

Study Tips Studying can be difficult. We have all been there, you’re stressed out for that big test coming up, but you just can’t focus. Some tips to help you study easier is to make sure you have no distractions, put your phone up. Some people listen to music but make sure you keep your phone away from you, so you are not as tempted to grab it after every notification. You should also have a schedule. For example, know what you are studying and when. Have a time limit, study for chemistry the first 15 minutes of lunch then algebra 2 the last 30 minutes. Also, some students have found that chewing gum helps you remember what you have studied. If you chew mint gum while studying chew mint gum while taking the test. You may also want to stay organized, make flashcards and keep all your notes in one folder. reduce anxiety, stress and depression
Time Management Tips Eliminate distractions – Get rid of anything that distracts you and allows you to procrastinate from your work. Be focused at the task at hand – Flow actually makes you feel energized and motivated and increases enjoyment of the activity. To achieve flow, find a challenge, develop your skills, eliminate distractions, set aside enough time, set clear goals and focus completely on the task at hand. Use a calendar – A calendar is a great way to plan your day. It can also help you to study in blocks and devote time to different subjects. Set up a calendar on your phone or computer and ensure you stick to it. Factor in extra time in case an activity takes longer than expected.

AFJROTC
“AFJROTC is a very good program. That statement might seem very vague however it's supported by facts. Our core not only has not only divers, but it also students allows students to thrive in a leadership position. The instructors push a student lead program and they push a service before self-mentality. DeLand’s AFJROTC program is responsible numerous community services both on or off the high school campus. Because of the blends of culture, the ability to lead and the active participation to the community, that is why I came to the conclusion that AFJROTC is a very good program. “
