GO STRAIGHT TO JESUS. NO DETOURS!

The dictionary says it’s: delight; source of pleasure; enjoyment, bliss, ecstasy, elation, thrill, wonder.

Scriptures says we can, right now, delight in Jesus, find our source of pleasure in Jesus, find our bliss, ecstasy, thrill and wonder in Jesus. Not because of us changing our emotion, but because ofWHO HE IS and embracing Him wholeheartedly.

Col 1:15-18 We look at this Son and see the God who cannot be seen. We look at this Son and see God’s original purpose in everything created. For everything, absolutely everything, above and below, visible and invisible, rank after rank after rank of angels—everything got started in him and finds its purpose in him. EMPTY PHILOSOPHIES AND HIGH SOUNDING NONSENSE (COL 2:8):I said the sinners prayer 3 times today – I’m certainly saved! I said the sinners prayer with 3 non-believers this week, God must be proud of me. I didn’t overdo my dancing, clapping and shouting in church today so I’ll be accepted as a mature Christian – I don’t need that sort of superficial gumff.

EATING AND DRINKING (COL 2:16):I ate in moderation today and had no intake of alcohol. I only ate 5 doughuts compared to 10 yesterday!! ✔HOLY DAYS – NEW MOON CEREMONIES OR SABBATHS (COL 2:16)It’s Sunday so I didn’t go shopping today so I didn’t feed the worldly economic system – only Jesus today! ✔SELF-DENIAL, SELF SACRIFICE, NO SELF CARE (COL 2:18)Well, I could have had a sleep this afternoon, but reading Job was of far more worth and valuable entertainment. ✔

GOOD BOY / GIRL, BAD GIRL / BOY CHECK

SUPERSPIRITUAL (COL 2:18):I haven’t seen much of my family today, but I played Christian music loudly in our house all day and the angelic realm was so tangible – they must have felt it.

✔RULES OF THE WORLD (COL 2:20):I was a great Dad today, my 3 year old daughter’s table manners will be impeccable after the lesson I gave her at lunch. The best three hours I’ve spent with her this week.

✔SEVERE BODILY DUSCIPLINE:God must be smiling on me today – I showered in cold water to save electricity and feel what most of Africa felt to day. I really felt the suffering that Paul must have gone through in prison. Oh He’s smiling.

✔IF I’VE DONE ALL THIS, I MUST BE ABLE TO COME INTO GOD’S PRESENCE AND SEE THE HOLY SPIRIT MOVE!

If we all wanted to be perfect, we’d soon find out that what we

think is perfect is very boring. It is risking in our inadequacy that

life becomes an adventure, and the world becomes an exciting

place to live in.
