Day 1 - Board the Deccan Odyssey at Mumbai – on to Bijapur

Day 2 - Bijapur - Bijapur is a town blessed by scattered ruins and still intact gems of the 15th to 17th

century Muslim architecture. A formidable fort surrounds the town, which has some of the finest

mosques in the Deccan and retains a pleasant atmosphere.

Day 3 - Aihole – Pattadakal , also spelled Pattadakalu is a World Heritage site, a village and an

important tourist centre in the state of Karnataka and is located on the left bank of the Malaprabha

River in Bagalkot district and is 22 km from Badami and 514 km from Bangalore. It is 22 km from

Badami and about 10 km from Aihole.

Day 4 - Badami - The capital of the early Chalukyas, Badami is picturesquely situated at the mouth of

a ravine between two rocky hills. Badami is famous for its four cave temples - all hewn out of sand

stone on the precipice of a hill.

Day 5 - Hampi - One of the most fascinating historical sites in South India - the site of the

Vijayanagar Empire. Hampi is a world heritage site and is the most beautiful and evocative of all the

ruins in Karnataka.

Day 6 - Hyderabad – Royal city of Nizams, Hyderabad is the capital city of the southern Indian state

of Andhra Pradesh.

Day 7 - Hyderabad - Visit Golconda Fort and explore the grandeur of Nizami culture.

the Udaipur district in the state of Rajasthan in western India. It is often called the "Venice of the East".

Day 3 - Palitana - The port city of Bhavnagar is located on the west of the Gulf of Khambat. Bhavnagar

was a major trading hub established in 1724 by Bhavsinhji Gohil and the capital of the then Bhavnagar

state.

Day 4 - Sasan Gir - Sprawling in an area of 1424 sq.kms is Gir, endowed with a luxuriantly rich ecosystem

and floral and faunal plentitude. The forest is the only place in the world, outside Africa, where the lion

can be seen in its natural habitat.

Day 5 - Little Rann of Kutch - A shallow wetland submerging in water during the rainy season and

becomes dry during other seasons. The Rann is popularly known for its marshy salt flats, which turns

into snow white after the swallow water dries up each season before the monsoon rains.

Day 6 - Patan – Ahmedabad - Patan, the once upon a time capital city of the Hindu Kings of Gujarat (8th

century) en route visiting the Rani ka Vav step well, the finest example of subterranean architecture for

water.

Day 7 - Ahmedabad - Sultan Ahmed Shah on the banks of River Sabarmati founded Ahmedabad in 1411

Wheels is for you.

The passenger coaches which were

originally meant to be the personal

railway coaches of the erstwhile rulers of

princely states of Rajputana, Gujarat, the

Nizam of Hyderabad and the Viceroy of

British India. These coaches were not

being used by the Indian Railways after

independence in normal passenger trains

on account of very rich and traditional

interiors.

The name "Palace on Wheels" was

derived from its royal back-ground of the

coaches. A new meter gauge air

conditioned Palace-on-Wheels was

introduced in 1984 & had 13 Saloons, 2

Restaurant cum Kitchen car, one Bar cum

Lounge and 4 Service Cars. In order to

further increase the amenities on the

train and due to over all gauge

conversion in the state, a new broad

gauge Palace-on-Wheels has been

constructed and has been running since

1996. T he interiors of the saloons reflect

the aesthetics of the former Royal states

of Rajasthan. The exquisite and exclusive

Palace on Wheels has luxurious Cabins,

wall to wall carpeting, a well stocked bar,

two dining cars

(The Maharaja and Maharani) and a very

accommodating with either king-size or

twin bed cabins. The coaches are divided

into 4 compartments (8.7m2) and offer a

choice of king-size beds (150 X 202 cm) or

twin beds (85 X 202cm). Each compartment

has its own shower and lavatory. The train is

air conditioned and each room has a TV,

Wardrobe and writing desk.

Each coach has its own Butler who looks

after the wellbeing of the guest. Each

passenger coach sports a cozy corner to

chat, play cards, read and relax. There is also

a business centre with Internet, PC, printer,

fax and telephone.

The meals are served in the two restaurant

cars. The cozy bar invite people for a

nightcap and a glass of best Indian wine.

The train even sports a spa, where you can

enjoy a steam bath, an ayurvedic massage

or a workout in the well equipped gym.

Once we have received your booking and all appropriate payments, we will, subject to availability, confirm your holiday by sending a booking confirmation letter /

invoice. When you book through us the booking confirmation / invoice and all other documents will be sent you. Please check all your documents carefully. Contact

us immediately if any information which appears on any document appears to be incorrect or incomplete as it may not be possible to make changes later. We regret

we cannot accept any liability if we are not notified of any inaccuracy in any document within 21 days of our sending it out to you. A provisional booking can be

made by phone but you must send the completed booking details and applicable payment within 07 days failing which the provisional booking will be automatically

released by our system, and we need to be notified again if it is to be restored, else we will treat the booking as cancelled.

Please inform us in writing if you wish to make any changes to your booking. Modifications requested 60 days or more prior to departure will be subject to a

minimum modification fee with any costs or charges incurred or imposed on us by any of our suppliers. Modifications requested less than 60 days prior to departure

will be regarded as a cancellation and cancellation charges will be payable. Name changes are not possible once the tour is booked, however, we will try as special

case in case of a specific request, this in no way means that we are guaranteeing the name change. Any charge that is imposed on us by the suppliers for name

change will be levied in accordance to the charges incurred.

Should you wish to cancel your holiday, notice can be given verbally but it is must that it be followed up in writing by the person who is your file manager. The

amount of the cancellation fee depends upon the date when the written notice of cancellation is received by us. C for

In specific cases, the booking amount is non refundable, please clarify regarding this at the time of making a booking with us:

Occasionally, we have to make changes to and correct errors in the brochure and other details both before and after bookings have been confirmed and cancel

confirmed bookings, which we must reserve the right to do. If there is time to do so before departure, you will be offered various options.

We regret we cannot accept liability or pay any compensation where the performance or prompt performance of our obligations under our contract with you is

prevented by or you otherwise suffer damage, loss or expense of any nature as a result of force majeure. Force Majeure means any event which we or the supplier of

the services in question could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid.

You must send us a completed booking form, the appropriate deposit per person (as detailed on the relevant tour page) or full payment if booking within 60 days of

departure. The balance of the cost of your holiday must be paid 60 days before departure. If you are paying by credit card, an additional charge in percentage will

apply (Processing fee 2.5% to 3.5% depending upon the type of card used). A minimum deposit is required for any booking (check our website -

www.theluxurytrains.com ). If we do not receive all payments in full and on time, we are entitled to assume that you wish to cancel your booking.

In this case, we will be entitled to keep all deposits paid or due at that date. If we do not cancel straight away because you have promised to make payment, you

must pay the cancellation charges depending on the date we reasonably treat your booking as cancelled.
