The event will feature performances and music. Tasty Eats will have food available for purchase. Journey is an awardwinning magazine that has most recently been named the No. 1 College Magazine in the Southeast Journalism Conference’s Best of The South Competition and ranks No.1 in its region in the Society of Professional Journalists Mark of Excellence Awards. The Journey staff prides itself on covering topics that are prevalent among the student body and within the AfricanAmerican community. The fall issue is a fusion of both topics and will deliver readers a dose of political knowledge, university pride and a black cultural outlook. Attendees of the release event will be able to get an exclusive first look of the “Homecoming/Black In America” issue.
