Journalweek # 8Study Skills

Hi Miss Laura, this week journal is from Oct/5th/2015 to Oct/7th/2015.I'm going to talk about some themes we discussed in class.

This week we saw MANUAL FOR LANGUAGE TEST DEVELOPMENT AND EXAMINING, there was a association called THE CEFR which means: Common European Framework Of Reference for Language, learning- teaching- assessment. It was designed to provide transparent, coherent and comprehensive basis for the elaboration of language syllabuses and curriculum guidelines, the design of teaching materials and assessment of foreign language proficiency.

Next in Oct/7th/2015, we started the class with a presentation about CONDUCTIVE-INDUCTIVE, presented by Lulu, it was alright.Than came Ammi she did better, she talked about Stephen Krashen's theory of second language acquisition:

the Monitor hypothesis

the Input hypothesis

the Natural Order hypothesis

and the Affective Filter hypothesis.

She explained very well, I like her presentation because seems like she knew everything, so she made it pretty simple and understandable. After Ammi was done with her presentation, Alejandra came in front of the class and for everyones surprise she picked a really unique theme to present and talk about in front of the class, her theme was about how to handle different genders in classroom, which I did not perceive that from her presentation because all she said or explained it was about all this kinds of genders we have in this world, rather than explaining how can we assimilate this better, which for me there is no difference ( skin color or sexual preferences) between black or white, gay or lesbians, Mexicans or Chinese, everyone deserve respect, and if we are going to be teachers we just have to be focus on our job which is to make students learn the best they can, even if they like black or red, we just have to make sure they learn the best of our knowledge.Thats my point of view =). Miss Laura hope you are having a great time, and if not, just try to! See you on Tuesday!.
