service for global research publications

SETTING UP A ZETOC ALERT EMAIL Click on Zetoc Alert – Access Choose University of Cambridge organisation and

login with Raven Create a new Zetoc Alert List with email and optional

list name, which may be a topic or area you are studying e.g. volcanoes

Click on “create” List is created and lasts one year but can be renewed Hypertext links will lead back to abstracts and a

search for the full text article Finally add journals or author/title searches Emails sent with table of contents for each issue of

the journals on your list as they are published

ZETOC ALERT – USEFUL STUFF Journals are added and removed so keep

checking and amending your lists Remember to renew the list every 12 months

if still required. Reminders are sent. Zetoc does include journals that the

University may not have full text access to. So be aware of this.

If an article looks useful and no subscription then try an Inter-Library Loan http://www.lib.cam.ac.uk/collections/departments/inter-library-loans

SETTING UP JOURNALTOCS EMAIL ALERTS Create an account and sign in. Use your

Cambridge email if you wish to follow more than 30 journals

Browse or search for journals and tick the ones you want to follow

When a new issue is published an email is sent with the table of contents

Hyperlinks in the email will take you to the content

Some journals you may not have full access to if the University does not subscribe
