JouleX Energy Manager (JEM) Overview

JEM enables energy savings by intelligently monitoring, analyzing and managing the power state of network connected devices. A very basic example would be to turn off all unused desktop computers and printers after office hours when they are not in use. Another example would be using JEM passively to measure the energy consumption of devices and map them to their corresponding cost centers or organizational units. JEM’s robust policy engine provides granular rules to determine how and when to change power states. Besides desktops and laptops running Windows, Linux or Mac OS, JEM has built-in support to manage a variety of devices and systems, such as printers, VoIP phones, routers, switches, WLAN access points, Power over Ethernet (PoE) devices and many more. Custom devices can be integrated on demand by using the JEM Software Development Kit (SDK).
