Windows Movie Maker is on most windows operated systems, it lets you create basic movies.

Fraps is a record program, you can use it to record anything you want practically.

Counter Strike 1.6 is a phenomenal, yet strategic game when played competitively.

Open Counter Strike 1.6, console is bind to default key (~). Type in ( record _____). Fill in _____ with the demo name that you would like. When your done playing, hit the console again (~) and type ( stopdemo ). This will end your demo and will be saved to C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\oagressive\counter-strike\cstrike.

You can view this demo at any time, I named my demo josh. I would open CS 1.6, hit console, then type (playdemo josh).

That is all you need to do to create the video.

Open your demo file from Step #1.

Open Fraps (that little window above the ati radeon)

Now, you will need to look at the taskbar in fraps, you will need to locate the “Movies” tab and leave the default settings, as they are best.

As I am sure you notice, the video capture key is f9, so simply as you are viewing your demo, hit f9, this will cause a 30 second record time of a video.

This automatically saves into fraps folder.

You have finished your demo.

Heres where windows movie maker comes into play.

Click “import media” and select the demo file you created which will be in the fraps folder.

Once you’ve dragged that, drag it into the timeline (bottom bar). This will enable you to decorate and detail the video to a limit, everything is free, so it’s kind of cheap.

I added a transition stage in the beginning of my video, and I worked on reducing lag and increasing fps (frames per second). It was complicated and I had some flaws here. There are some neat devices in movie maker.

If it seems choppy, don’t worry, the end result will be smooth.

When you have finalized anything you want to have done, the last thing to hit is “Publish”. This will create your end result, rather it be a 4k on pistol round like me, or a different type of game.

You have just 100% completed your demo.
