"Great dual meet! First time the boys have beat Elkhorn since 2008! #npspanthers- Coach David Nelson @dnelsonusd"

No matter who you ask, theywill all agree that the2014-15 Swimming andDiving season was anothersucces added to NHS' record. With many stat qualifyingswimmers and divers, theschool put their panther pridebehind them. team won conference for the fourth year in a row. When asked about herperspective on the amazing swim team, senior Rachael Chleborad said, "Forbeing an "individual sport", swimmers are the best teammates I've ever had. They we're upbeat and encouraging to me and everyone on the team. I lovedcheering for people, and I loved hearing and seeing people cheer for me while Iswam. Even though I was JV and kinda slow, I still had people yelling andscreaming for me as loud as they possibly could. I loved the atmosphere ourteam makes at meets. They are sweet, kind, welcoming, and just fun to bearound. My teammates helped me to love the swim team, and I don't regretswimming this year at all." It goes to show that the time spent swimmingdoesn't affect how much someone's love for swimming and diving can grow.

Rachael Chleborad (12) turns at the edgeof the pool for her final stretch of the race.

Shelby Mckeown(10) and BryanRios (11) bondbetween events. Grace Protzman (9) seemingly floats

in midair before performing her dive.

Kaitlyn Summers (11) swims fast and longfor her final stretch of pool, boosting thenumbers for the overall team scores.

Cierra Ahlers (10) comes up for abreath during an intense relay.

The Sound of Music The Sound of Music was the musical choice forthe 2014-15 school year. Norfolk Senior Highwas blessed with a grant that allowed them toupdate the Johnny Carson Theater with newcurtains, speakers, and light board, which turnedthe theater into an even greater facility forevents. The cast and crew were pleased to be able toperform such a classical musical with many amazingand catchy songs, along with the new equipment. The crew created a beautiful set, perfect for thetime period in which The Sound of Music takes place. Any given character looked like he or she wasplucked straight out of 1938 Austria. Theproduction was nothing short of amazing.Emotions were evoked in every audience member whosaw the adorable children singing Do-Re-Mi or whowere rooting for the Von Trapp family to escapefrom the cruel Nazi's clutch. After three successful show nights, the entirecast and crew was sad to put an end to the classicstory, but they were glad to have been able to puttheir own twist on the musical. Senior KaityStrong's perspective was that the thirdperformance was the best."The last night was sad. All of the seniors knew itwas our last high school musical, and our last timeseeing our new friends on a daily basis. I feel like thelast day is always somewhat ceremonious becausethe tradition of good musicals gets passed on toa new grade," said Strong. Despite the rehearsal space challenges, thelimited rehearsal time, and other mishaps, the NHSSound of Music cast and crew added another uniquemusical to their repertoire. Once again thecommunity was reminded of all the magnificenttalent and passion of Norfolk High. To the manyseniors who performed in the 2014-15 musical"So long, farewell, Auf Wiedersuhen, adieu!"

STUDENTLIFE

Every student at Norfolk High lived a different high school life.

Between school dances, pep rallies, and Panther Posse meetings, life

varied for each person. From the eyes of the academic-driven

student to the newly crowned queen of prom, students’ high school

careers gave them diverse perspectives. Though all experienced the

same events of the 2014-15 school year, they viewed

everything with their own perspectives. The year was seen through

our perspective.

Girls' Cross Country

"My first varsity letter was great, but what I really treasure are the memories and my XC Brothers & Sisters" - Emily Wicker @emroserun

If you ask any cross country runner were asked what is the best part of cross country, they wouldsay the same thing. The best thing about cross country is building bonds wit teammates and creatingmemories that will last a lifetime. Once again the boys and girls cross country teams had a trulyamazing season from everyone's perspective. No matter if they were running fast on the fields orif they were cheering on the panthers at the edge of the course, their perspectives differed in manyways , In the end, their points of view all ended with a finish line. When a cross country member isrunning down the path, they see their competitors running along side them, in front of them, orbehind them. They also see the endless crowds of people rooting for them to run fast and run long! From the crowds point of view, they see an amazing member of the NHS cross country team sprintingpast them in a blaze of glory towards the end. Their ultimate goal the finish line. The team memberssaid goodbye to the 2014-15 cross country season with unbreakable bonds, unforgettablememories, and an undying love for the sport.

Cross country, members formed aheart to show their love for the sport.Submitted by Abby Protzman.

Sports

Every sport is different, as every student is different. Each

student experienced their athletic careers in their own

perspectives. Whether that be from the positions they played to

where they sat on the bench, or even in the crowd, to root for their

team mates and everything in between. Through the eyes of the

quarterback as he made the game winning throw or the swimmer as

she scored the much needed point, the year through the eyes of

athletes varied. It was their perspective, and it was our perspective.
