1. Will my student have the same opportunities as where they came from/were going to?

2. My student is nervous about going to a new campus what actions are you taking to provide the best possible transition?

3. How does my student plug in and get involved at Jordan High School?

-Some one-off courses that have a track (example: foreign language, math) are being offered during course selection.

-All sports will be offered. (Individual sports will be varsity the first year, team sports will be varsity the second year with the exception football which will be varsity the third year.)

My student is nervous about going to a new campus what actions are you taking to provide the best possible transition?

- On April 30th from 6:00pm-7:30pm, we will host a meet and greet with all head coaches and all program heads for fine arts and academics at AJH.

-We will host a "We Are Jordan" event the week before schools starts where students and families will be able to walk the building, buy spirit gear, as well as participate in a community pep rally.

-The first week of school we will dedicate a day to student orientation. We will do this in lieu of a traditional freshman orientation prior to the school start.

Page 7: Jordan High SchoolJan 14, 2020  · Parent Presentation-January 14th @OTHS 8th Grade Student Presentations-January 15th @AJH and SLJH 9th Grade Student Presentations-January 16th @OTHS

How does my student plug in and get involved at Jordan High School?

-Students in existing programs will receive information from the heads of those programs once they are hired. (Example: Band, Athletics, Cheer, etc..)

-In early April we will distribute information to all Jordan students on their current campus on how to apply to launch a JHS student club. We will work to match students and teacher sponsors during the late Spring with the goal of hosting a club fair on the "We Are Jordan" event or during Open House in early Fall.

-Check the JHS website and start following the JHS social media outlets to learn what's going on!
