General Informationo Where is Jordan?Jordan, a Middle Eastern kingdom, is sandwiched between Saudi Arabia in the south and east, Syria and Iraq in the north, and Israel (including the West Bank of the Jordan River) in the west.o Does Its Location Affect Its Population?It kind of does because there are many famous places that you can go visit there like, Desert Castles, The Wadi Rum, Qasir Amra, there are also amazing places around it like, Syria, Iraq, Palestine, and Saudi Arabia, and people are sometimes just passing through and stay for a couple days. Since it is mostly arid desert; rainy season in west (November to April) many people like to go there during the summer so they can go swimming.o What Type Of Government Do They Have?They have a Constitutional Monarchy led by King Abdallah Ibn Al-Hussien and the Prime Minister Awn Shawkat al-Khasawnah.o What is Their Religion And Language?92% is Muslim, 6% is Christian, and 2% is other. Their national language is Arabic which most speak, but they also speak French and a little English.

Cultureo What Do They Wear?

In Jordan the woman wear a dress called a “Abayah” and a head garment or scarf called a Hijab, and the men wear casual clothes and some men wear a dress found in Saudi Arabia called a “Dish-Dasha”.

o What Type of Holidays Do They Celebrate?

I) Eid Al-Fitr: A holiday that follows after a month long period of fasting., called Ramadan. II) Eid Al-Adha: A holiday that follows the return of people from Hajj, or pilgrimage.III) Independence Day: The day Jordan or anywhere else gained its independence.

Life In Jordano Where does Jordan Get There Money? In Jordan people get there money from the government but where does the government get it? They get it from Jordan’s insufficient supplies of water, oil, and other natural resources.[3]

o What Do People in Jordan Do For A Living?Some people own farms that they work on, and there are construction workers, and people work with the government (tax workers, lawyers, and more).

o Which Sports Do They Play?The kids play soccer on the street or on a field, and there is the two most famous sports Al-Fasaly and Al-Wihdat.

ConclusionJordan is a mixed up country in the Middle East, you can find many things there that you have never seen before (unless you have been to Saudi Arabia). Many people come here because there are many things to see and do. If you don’t know Arabic than this will be the perfect place to come because Arabic is its national language. Jerusalem is not only Christians holy land but it is also Jordan’s.Geographically, Jordan is bordered in the north by Syria, by Saudi Arabia and the Red Sea at the south, Israel and West Bank border the west of Jordan, and Iraq/Saudi Arabia the east. The lowest point in Jordan, and the entire world, is the Dead Sea, the highest point in Jordan is Jabal Um Al-Dami in Wadi Rum.The official language of Jordan is Arabic and the official religion is Islam. There is also a minority of Christians-- most of whom are Greek Orthodox. The country is also ethnically diverse, with Circassians, Armenians, and Chechnians. A small population of Druze lives in the far north.The political system in Jordan is a centralized state system, governed by a parliamentary system and a constitutional hereditary monarchy.[4]
