I am dedicated to living my life in honor of thePGAMembers who taught me the most important life ski/lsI possess. If you were to ask mypeers what sets me apart I think you would hear the following character traits:

• Tireless Work Ethic; a manager who leads by example and sets the pace for all• Team player who sets a vision for the team and motivates all to reach for success• Professional who puts the best interest of others ahead of personal gain• Reputation in the community for professionalism and integrity• Role model for the staff and students• Positive outlook on my life - enthusiasm for the future• Student of the industry - strives to learn and achieve greater knowledge of my role• Willingness to take on tough and/or difficult assignments when no one else will• Dedication to the traditions and history of the game and the PGA of America

4. What is your favorite thing about being a PGAProfessional?

Without question, the opportunity to meet so many different and diverse people over theyears is my most cherished memories of the PGA. I have had the opportunity to travel acrossthe country and use golf as the means to make introductions with so many groups. It'scertainly the internationallanguage, where celebrities and blue collar America alike have acommon bond in the trials and tribulations of their golf game. I have witnessed juniorsmake strides in a sport that doesn't require the athletic prowess necessary in other activitiesas well. Watching the faces of children light up when a golf ball they hit explodes into theair makes the day worthwhile for me. My family and I have also experienced thehumanitarian efforts of the PGA of America. I am proud to be a part of an organizationdedicated to the growth and enjoyment of the game of golf by so many people around theworld

Dear Mr. Riley,

I am writing this letter to recommend Mr. Jon DePriest as the Gateway Section PGAProfessional of the year.

I have known Jon DePriest since we hired him at Sunset Hills eleven years ago. Duringmy membership at Sunset Hills we have had three Head Golf Professionals. All Threehave done a good job. However, Jon DePriest stands above the others. I have workedwith Jon in my role as Chairman of the Golf Committee, member of the Board ofDirectors and worked very closely with Jon during the two years I served as the Presidentof Sunset Hills Country Club.

Jon ALWAYS carries himself in a professional manner. I have dealt with many golfprofessionals during my career as we provide employee benefit services to more than 20public and private courses in the Metropolitan area. I have met a number of quality headgolf professionals and I believe Jon is at the top of the list. I believe Jon DePriestepitomizes what a Head Golf Professional should be. He provides service that goes waybeyond and above!

Probably the best compliment that I can give Jon is that if I would be given theresponsibility and authority to hire ANY person for the Head Golf Professional/Directorof Golf position, I would, without hesitation, hire Jon DePriest.

If you have any questions or if I could provide any more information about Jon, please donot hesitate to contact me.

Respectfully,
