Music students from Langley Grammar School and ACS Egham joined students from St Bernard’s in the annual joint ‘Friendship Through Music’ concert on 13th March 2012. All three schools first rehearsed individual items (ranging from a djembe ensemble, Sri Lankan drums, a flute group, solo items and guitar ensemble) and then performed to one another during the second half of the morning. There were two items involving all three schools: the joint Jazz Band performing Herbie Hancock’s Chameleon and the joint choir performing an arrangement of a traditional Russian song. Students were provided with refreshments and an opportunity to socialise between the rehearsal and the concert.
