ABB and NOW! Innovations Seamlessly integrated fast charging & smart payment platform, easy to implement at any parking location

The ABB Terra SC is a new Smart Connected charging station designed for convenient fast charging in 30-120 minutes while the EV driver enjoys shopping or has a meeting. It is seamlessly integrated with the billing and payment platform ParkNOW! by NOW! Innovations. ParkNOW! permits EV drivers to pay for a charging session using a mobile phone enabling several payment possibilities.

ParkNOW! & ABB EV Charging platformParkNOW! offers users an alternative payment method for parking and it also permits EV drivers to pay for a charging session at the new ABB Terra SC fast charger, using a mobile phone. This can be done in a number of ways:

– Calling a local service number and entering the charger code. The ABB charger is then started remotely.

– Transmitting the same information by text message. The ABB charger is started remotely.

– Using the ParkNOW! smartphone application and QR code scanning or NFC tag reading, with an option to choose the desired length of the charging session. The ABB charger is started remotely.

– Using an RFID-card. Once the card’s validity is verified by ParkNOW!, the ABB charger is started locally.

ParkNOW! EV Charging can also work with off-line ABB chargers. In this case the driver will receive a unique authorization code by smartphone app or text message. The customer enters the code on the keypad of the ABB charger, unlocking the charger and starting a charging session.

The combined ABB Terra SC charging and ParkNOW! billing platform enables parking lot owners to create a revenue stream from both parking and EV charging without having to install pay stations or deal with proprietary, third party billing

systems. Thus, any parking operator can start providing EV charging services with nothing required except electricity, an ABB Terra SC charger and a place to install it.
