Welcome
Prof. Luca Remonda, MDSSNR / President
PD Oliver Hausmann, MDSSNS / President of the Comitee
Dear colleagues
It is a great pleasure for us to welcome you to the joint annual meeting of the Swiss Societies of Neuroradiology and Neurosurgery to be held in Lucerne from September 10-11, 2015. This meeting will encourage us to discuss commen aspects of interest and to highlight potential different ways in approaching pathologies of common interest. Therefore, the meeting will focus on neurovascular, neurooncological and spine related topics.
The key-lectures will provide a framework for the joint meeting. We will have enough time to get an overview on the hot-topics. Therefore, we also will have a dedicated lecture summarizing the most interesting publication in each field of interest. Furthermore, we specially support our younger colleagues to present their data in the free communications.
The two societies will hold their general assemblies during the meeting. The Young Swiss Neurosurgeons (SYNS) as well as the Association of the neurosurgical nursing staff (IG-NOPPS) will be able to join us.
This year’s Educational Course of the Swiss Society of Neuroradiology will take place on Friday, September 11, 2015 and is integrated in the SSNS and SSNR Joint Annual Meeting. The focus will be on Emergency Neuroradiology, with selected clinically relevant topics to adress a broad spectrum of the evolved physicians and to provide state of the art education in neuro-imaging.
The congress will be held in the new congress centre Forum Messe Luzern. It is easily reachable by public transportation and sufficient parking possibilities are available. The social evening will take place at Hotel Seeburg, with a unique view of the lake and mountains.
Lucerne is a famous tourist destination in central Switzerland. Cultural highlights are the concert hall and the art museum in the KKL. The town with its charming scenery, the lake and the alps is a starting point for many excursions. The shopping possibilities are world-known.
We are looking very much forward to welcoming you in September in Lucerne for these two exciting days.
