The IAFP Annual Meeting isarguably the most important week of the year for my research team. It is, by far, the best place for my team to learn about the latest research and hot topics in food safety, and to engage in conversations that often set the course for our future work, with peers, collaborators, and food safety professionals from academia, industry, and government.

Make Connections Based on Your InterestIAFP's Professional Development Group

Meetings are Open to All!If you plan to attend IAFP 2018, make sure to participate in one or more of IAFP’s Professional Development Group

(PDG) meetings. These groups give food safety professionals the opportunity to be part of open and in-depth discussions in 24 topic areas related to keeping our food supply safe.

Sharing your ideas and experiences in these meetings prior to IAFP 2018’s symposia and technical sessions will bring questions to the forefront and link your participation in these groups to the hundreds of presentations at the world’s leading food safety conference.

No matter your level of experience – student in food safety, novice food safety professional or seasoned expert – come ready to provide valuable input that benefits everyone in attendance. There is no fee to join our PDGs, and we welcome all perspectives on existing topics and issues to help others learn and share among their peers.

For a complete schedule of all PDG and Committee meetings, visit the IAFP 2018 Web site.

Plan now to arrive at IAFP 2018 in time for our PDG meetings on Saturday and Sunday. Don’t miss out on this additional Annual Meeting benefit!
