Focus on Life Banquet: The Wexford/Missaukee Right to Life will be hosting their 25th annual Focus on Life

Banquet on Tuesday, April 25 at Young Life/Timberwolf Camp. The evening begins with a social hour at 5:30pm

followed by the dinner at 6:30pm. The featured speaker will be Bob Dutko. Tickets are available by contacting Bob &

NMCS Musical: Northern Michigan Christian High School presents "Seussical the Musical" on Fri-ay and Saturday, April 28 & 29 at 7:00pm at the Elenbaas Performing Arts Center in McBain. This fun, lively show for people of all ages is full of energetic music and fun characters from Horton Hears a Who, Gertrude McFuzz and many other well known Seuss stories. Tickets go on sale at the NMCS office beginning on April 17 at 8:30am and will also be sold at the door.

Help Wanted: Garden Coordinator for Volunteer/Barter Labor Ministry at Friends. Both administrative and outdoor hands-on work required. 30 hours a week Monday – Friday, May - October. Tasks include schedule, organ-ize, recruit and train. People management skills, flexibility and Christ-centered relationship skills are essential. S.P.U.R.S: Join us at Hughston’s Cow Camp for a free event on May 6, 2017 12:30-3:30pm for S.P.U.R.S. (Special People Understanding Rodeo Skills) for disabled people of all ages. Nursery Volunteer Needed: A volunteer is needed once a month to deep clean the toys in the nursery. If you

Cadets Pinewood Derby: The Cadet boys are getting their cars ready for race day on Friday, April 21! Plan to

come out to enjoy the races and fun that will be taking place in the gym of The Rock. Weigh-in is at 6pm, and the

races start at 7pm.

LCCRC Booster Club Steak Dinner & Auction: Come out for a time of family fun at the annual Booster Club

Dinner & Auction, Saturday, April 22, 5:30pm-8pm! The evening begins, in the lower-level Fellowship Hall,

with a by-donation steak dinner, followed by the auction. Items up for bid include a Great Wolf Lodge getaway,

a week at Pleasant Valley Bible Camp, various tools and equipment and MANY delicious homemade goodies.

All proceeds go to benefit the Christian Education Fund. See a list of items up for auction on pages 5 & 6

of this newsletter.

Children & Youth Ministries Volunteer Appreciation Dinner: We love our volunteers! To show our appre-

ciation, Children & Youth Ministry volunteers are invited to an Appreciation Dinner on Tuesday, April 25, 6pm in the

lower-level Fellowship Hall. If you have volunteered in our Children & Youth Ministries this past year, please RSVP

Celebration Soup Supper: Join us Sunday, April 30, 5pm in the lower-level Fellowship Hall for a celebration

of Jeremy & Amy Jensema’s work and service with our church! Bring your favorite soup or dessert and enjoy

Gathering.

Big Ticket Festival: All incoming 6th-12th graders are invited to join our youth at the Big Ticket Festival in Gay-

lord on Saturday, June 24. Tickets are $25/person. Put your name on the sign-up sheet at either The Rock bulletin

board or the youth bulletin board at the entrance to the church. The sign-up closes and money is due by June 12.

T he high-school youth of Powerhouse invite everyone to a Benefit Dinner aiding Voice of the Martyrs on May 3rd. This past winter, the youth completed a study of persecut-ed Christians around the world called “I am N”, and they feel led to raise awareness

and support this great cause. It is reported that over 90,000 Christians were killed for their faith in 2016. That is one believer, every six minutes. A taco bar will be served from 5:15 pm to 6:00 pm, May 3 in the Fellowship Hall, prior to the final Wednesday evening Connections program. Proceeds will be sent to Voice of the Martyrs to help them in their efforts of aiding Christians who are being persecuted. So, on May 3rd don’t worry about dinner! Bring the family and let the high schoolers of Powerhouse serve you to serve our fellow brothers and sisters around the world.
