YOU MUST BE

• Dedicated-If you don’t seem to like it students WILL know. You have to sell this program to them. Make them want it

• Knowledgeable- Know your FFA facts. Upcoming events and what is held there. What the FFA can offer them

• Able to connect with “recruits”-Let them feel welcome (especially younger recruits) Let them be apart of your friends and find something that interest them.

WAYS TO RECRUIT

• 8th grade visits• Intern an 8th grader• Have 8th graders come to meetings• Set up a visit your local chapter day• FFA 8th grade Day• In high school recruitment• Invite friends to local/district events• Tell them how they can benefit (scholarships, job

experience, friends, fun)
