APPMA AUSTRALIAN PAVILION PARTNER CONTRACT

The Australian Packaging & Processing Machinery Association (APPMA) is pleased to advise that it will be coordinating the third Australian Pavilion at ProPak Asia 2018 in Bitec, Bangkok, Thailand on the 13th to 16th June. The APPMA have arranged a walk-on package for all exhibitors in the Australian Pavilion, with custom stands also available.

WHY THE AUSTRALIAN PAVILION?The APPMA identified a need to help Australian packaging and processing manufacturers and distributors by creating an Australian Pavilion at ProPak Asia each year. The pavilion enables Australian manufacturers and distributors to showcase their products and companies to the Asian market in an affordable way. Under the Australian Pavilion your company will receive a prime position in the new packaging zone in the show, additional promotions and advertising for the exhibition, networking opportunities and social events, and the APPMA will look after all of your exhibition requirements for you. You simply walk on with some banners and flyers.

ProPak Asia is Asia’s No.1 international processing & packaging trade event for Asia’s expanding food, drink & pharmaceutical industries. ProPak Asia 2017 expanded in line with demand and growing a huge 25% this year. This huge growth has come from increasing demand across all zones.

Exhibitors and international pavilions have expanded significantly, many new exhibitors joined, and the whole show presents the latest technology, innovations and solutions from across the world. Now covering over 55,000 sqm of exhibition space and featuring over 2,000 exhibitors from 45 countries, 18 international pavilions from Australia, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, UK and the USA, and over 45,000 trade visitors attended the show.

ProPak Asia 2018 will focus on 8 industry zones including; Processing Tech Asia, Packaging Tech Asia, Drink Tech Asia, Pharma Tech Asia, Lab & Test Asia, Materials Asia, Coding, Marking & Labelling and Coldchain, Logistics & Warehousing. WHY THAILAND? ASIA’S FOOD SUPPLIER• Thailand is one of the world’s leading agricultural suppliers, driven by a well-developed food processing sector.• The agricultural sector employs 50% of the labour force and accounts for 10% of GDP.• Thailand is the world’s largest supplier of frozen shrimp and chicken as well as being major exporters of rice, seafood,

sugar, meat, vegetable and fruit.• With more than 10,000 food processors in Thailand there is a huge demand for imported processing and packaging

equipment.• Thailand’s export orientated processors regularly upgrade with imported technology to maintain their world markets.• Thailand is the regional processing and distribution centre for South East Asia due to its major supply and competitive

prices of agricultural products.• Thailand is the only net food exporter in Asia and wants to maintain this lucrative position.
