Extensive experience managing complex engineering documents

Developed an in-house document management system used for over 10 years on more than 1,000 projects, yearly check out/in operations numbered 100,000 – used Microsoft Access Database & Visual Basic for Applications – also interfaced with Excel

Worked to establish promote and maintain in-house CAD Standards

Developed a 2D Process Piping program using AutoCAD, VBA & Microsoft Access

Developed a Sewer Design program that was used on a number of projects in Massachusetts – this also used Access and VBA

Corbalis Water Treatment Phase 3 expansion – this project is nearing completion of construction. The plant serves nearly 1.5 million people in northern Virginia. The expansion will increase plant capacity from 150 million gallons per day to 225 mgd. This project has close to 900 drawings, and special features were added to the in-house drawing management software to account for client standards for drawing numbering and file naming.

H. L. Mooney Water Reclamation Facility, Prince William County, Virginia on this 42 million construction cost design/build project I developed automation that would generate “Drawing Web Format” plots that were then posted to an FTP site each night along with indexing information and email notification to the contractor who was accessing this information.

MWRA John J. Carroll Water Treatment Plant – this project began with three options and about 3,500 drawings, when the project was completed about 2,500 drawings were delivered to the client. The construction cost was $260 million. On this project I developed custom drawing management software. This system was used by almost a dozen firms with over 60 users and over 50,000 file check out operations were performed.

MWRA Boston Harbor clean up – this project had an overall construction cost of about 3.5 billion dollars. For two projects involving the design of the sludge digesters I managed the CAD systems provided by the client.
