John WilliamsMost of the times that we watch a movie; we only focus on the story. Probably we also focus on the actors and maybe on the director.

But we rarely ask ourselves about things like: who made the special effects, the makeup, the clothing, and who composed the music. Although we might like it. We might like the soundtrack and the main theme, but how many times do we go and look for the one who composed it?

Well, one of those composers is John Towner Williams. Or John Williams. He was born back in 1932 in New York and currently hes the most nominated person alive. He is now the orchestras laureate conductor. His most familiar style is a form of neoromanticism. He has worked with directors such as Steven Spielberg and George Lucas. The latest movie for which he wrote the music was Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.During the first years of the 1950s, he attended the University of California, Los Angeles . And later he was drafted into the United States Air Force, where he arranged music for the Air Force Band as part of his duties.

John Williams was married to actress Barbara Ruick from 1956 until she died in 1974. They had three children together: Jennifer, Mark and Joseph, who is the former lead singer for the band Toto. He married his second wife, Samantha Winslow, in 1980.

He has composed music for four Olimpic Games, for some television series, he has also written concerts. And he wrote the score and songs for about 100 movies. The ones of the last few years are: The Patriot, A.I.: Artificial Intelligence, The Harry Potter Series, Two Star Wars movies, Minority Report, The Terminal, War of the Worlds, Memoirs of a Geisha, Munich and Indiana Jones.Nowadays, he is working for the music in Harry Potter and the Deadly Hallows.

John Williams has a lot of awards. He has Grammy, Golden Globe, Emmy and Academy Awards. With a total of 5 Oscars, other 71 wins & 119 nominations.
