BE ALL THAT YOU CAN BE BY NOTICING HIM NOTICING YOU!

Letter from a Friend: “I had to write to tell you how much I love you and care for you. Yesterday, I saw you walking and laughing

with your friends. I hoped that soon you’d want Me to walk along with you too. So, I painted you a sunset to close your day and whispered a cool breeze to refresh you. I waited – you never called, but I kept on loving you.

As I watched you fall asleep last night, I wanted to touch you. I spilled moonlight onto your face – trickling down your cheeks as so many tears have. You didn’t even think of Me; I wanted so much to comfort you.

The next day I exploded a brilliant sunrise into glorious morning for you. But you woke up late and rushed off to work – you didn’t even notice. My sky became cloudy and My tears were the rain. I love you, oh, if you’d only listen. I really love you. I try to say it in the quiet of the green meadow and in the blue sky. The wind whispers My love through the tree tops and spills it into the vibrant colors of the flowers. I shout it to you in the thunder of the great waterfalls and compose love songs for birds to sing to you. I warm you with the clothing of My sunshine and perfume the air with nature’s sweet scent. My love for you is deeper than any ocean and greater than any need in your heart. If you’d only realize how much I care.

My Father sends His love. I want you to meet Him – He cares too. Fathers are just that way. So, please, call on Me soon. No matter how long it takes, I’ll wait – because I love you.”

Another way of saying the same thing…

A little girl was sitting on her mother’s lap. Looking up into her mother’s eyes, she says, “Mommy, you have a beautiful face, sparkling eyes and lovely hair. Why are your arms so ugly?”

Her mother explained: “When you were a baby, I left you alone, sleeping in your crib one evening. I went down the street to see a neighbor for a few minutes. While I was gone, the house caught on fire. When I realized that it was our house that was burning, I raced up the street. I dashed through flames and grabbed you out of your crib. I held you close to me and tried to protect you from the flames. As we ran to safety, my hands and arms got badly burned. That’s why they’re so ugly.”

With tears in her eyes, the little girl looked at her mother’s face again. She said, “Mommy, you have a beautiful face, sparkling eyes and lovely hair. But your hands and arms are the most beautiful of all.”

    DDiscovering Christ Rediscovering Christ

It is another Christmas, Christ for us, reborn Symbolically, lighted trees for Him adorn.

Our lives transformed forever since that glorious day With Mary and Joseph in that stable where He lay, God becoming one of us through His saving grace. An infant in a manger in that time and in that place!

At every year’s nativity, we joyfully recall The meaning of His birth.

How He has given each and all The measure of our worth!

Thus, we pray as we do always for Peace and Love on earth.

    ~ Ralph Capasso

Lord Jesus, we pray to you for the Catholic priesthood. Give us more priests, but most especially we ask you to give us holy priests. Messengers of a truth that is all-encompassing and eternal, holy priests who know how to offer this truth to the people of their own time and place. Holy men for today, priests firmly rooted in the tradition, yet imbued with the spirit of this age. They have undertaken a mission in your name, Lord. May the reflection of your power in them always make it clear that they are your witnesses.

Grant that they may conform their lives to the paschal mystery that they celebrate each day in the Eucharist. May they sense in this mystery the anxious hunger of the world and of their own brothers and sisters for salvation.

May they know, despite this hunger, how to respect the spiritual freedom of others; for it is your word which has given the world a taste for this freedom. May they understand and speak the language of their own time. And may they be careful never to compromise, with opinions that come and go, the imperishable newness of your Gospel.

May they always keep through the dark wintry night of the soul an obstinate hope for the springtime to come. And when they meet those who persecute you, may they always remember the road to Damascus and the hidden ways of your providence.

    Every Thursday – 7AM to 7PM Devotion

Here’s an opportunity To boost your Catholicity
