JOHN C. (“JACK”) McGUIRE is an AV Preeminent rated attorney, an experienced triallawyer, litigation strategist and manager of national litigations. He has successfully handledcases involving varied industries, products, diseases and legal theories. Mr. McGuire hasextensive experience defending large-scale, complex litigations. He has served as nationalcounsel for a global engineering company and a building products manufacturer in asbestoslitigation as well as national coordinating and trial counsel for a major pharmaceutical andmedical device company in several nationwide product liability litigations. Mr. McGuireacted as business counsel for the Global Business Services unit of the pharmaceutical andmedical device company and was responsible for negotiating and drafting the full scope ofbusiness contracts for the company. His practice has also included commercial class action,general commercial litigation, catastrophic personal injury and environmental litigationsinvolving the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, Industrial Site Recover Act, CleanWater Act and the New Jersey Spill Act.

Mr. McGuire has been admitted pro hac vice in eighteen states while serving as litigationand trial counsel in both mass tort and pharmaceutical litigation. Mr. McGuire tried his firstjury trial to verdict in 1992. He obtained the first defense verdict in the State of New Jerseyon medical causation in case involving a disputed diagnosis of mesothelioma. He hasextensive experience in the identification, selection, preparation and presentation of expertwitnesses in diverse areas including epidemiology, toxicology, chemistry, pulmonology,pathology, pharmacology, addictionology, biology and mechanical engineering. Mr.McGuire has been called upon by clients to identify, prepare and present corporaterepresentatives in asbestos and pharmaceutical litigation.

Mr. McGuire is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York and the District ofColumbia. He is admitted to appear before the Unites States District Court for the State ofNew Jersey; the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit; and the United StatedDistrict Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.

Mr. McGuire graduated magna cum laude from Drew University in Madison, New Jersey in1983 and cum laude from Seton Hall University School of Law in Newark, New Jersey in1987.

He resides in Morristown, New Jersey with his wife and twin daughters.
