The Promise and Gift of Peace

Old Covenant—peace was safety, welfare, prosperity, soundness (in body), health, quiet, tranquility, and contentment.

New Covenant—place of rest in relationship to God, the soul's safety for salvation, the tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and content with its earthly lot.

The Gift--Holy Spirit’s ministry to us—instilling in us the availability of peace through grace.

How Do We Get to that Place?Practice.Trust God—peace is based on His plan. *Responding instead of reacting.Give up the need to control. *Become encapsulated in Him.

kingdom living.Alignment has to do with your soul’s attitude

towards God.“…that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, Then the way you live will

always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit.

All the while you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.”
