PrefaceSince its establishment in 1965, NSIC Technical Services
Centre, Rajkot has been working to provide Necessary
facilities to its trainees to acquire and enhance their skills
through its skill oriented Courses. By providing training on
demand driven and industry oriented courses, its main focus
has always been to give maximum exposure to its trainee
through campus interview which it keep conducting in NTSC
Rajkot premises. In its endeavor, a Job Fair was held on
March 30th 2016. The event was concluded on a positive
note with an over whelming response from the trainees as
well as companies in terms of participation. Taking
inspiration from the stupendous success of this event, NTSC
will be organising many such events in the near future.

NSIC Technical Services Centre, Rajkot, is one of the Technical Services Centre ofNational Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), an ISO 9001:2008 certifiedGovernment of India Enterprise. NSIC has been working to fulfill its mission ofpromoting, aiding & fostering the growth of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises.NSIC- Technical Services Centre (NTSC), Rajkot established in the year 1965 forthe support of existing and aspiring entrepreneurs of MSME Sector of Saurashtraregion by providing skilled manpower and testing services through its various skilldevelopment training programs and testing facilities in the area of Engine, Motor,Pump, Calibration, Plastic and Material Testing etc which are NABL accredited andBIS recognized except material testing lab. The center also provide support toMSME sector through its various commercial schemes like SPRS ,Infomediaryetcbesides carrying out energy audit services as being one of the certified authorizedauditor to carry out energy audit by Government of Gujarat. NSIC- TechnicalServices Centre (NTSC), Rajkot offers to provide the following services withcustomer satisfaction.

Training at NTSC Rajkot
NSIC Rajkot Centre have incubator unit, this unit facilitates setting up of new
enterprises all over the country by creating self-employment opportunities for the
unemployed persons. The objective of this scheme is to facilitate establishment of
new small enterprises by way of providing integrated services in the areas of training
for entrepreneurial skill development, selection of small projects, and preparation of
project profile, reports, identification and sourcing of plant, machinery and
equipment, facilitating sanction of credit facility and providing other support services
in order to boost the development of small enterprises in manufacturing and services
sectors.
The Technical Services Centre, Rajkot is engaged in providing services to MSME
Sector by providing skilled manpower through its various training programs which
are tailor made considering the need of industries of the region which is dominated
by machine tools, plastic manufacturing, engine manufacturing, pump
manufacturing, mini tractor manufacturing, auto component, bread and biscuit
manufacturing, Packaging etc in the area of CAD /CAM, CNC, Work shop. We also
provide industrial training in the field of automation and embedded system,
Multimedia & Animation, Electrical & Electronics. We also impart training to non-
technical areas considering the need MSME Sector of the region in the area of
fashion designing, beauty parlor, soft toy making etc. The course content of each
training program is designed in such a way so as to give maximum practical
exposure through practical training to the trainees. Also course content are carefully
designed in consultation with various representatives of various industry associations
to meet the need of industry. The curriculum of each training programme is defined
in such a way so as to give maximum practical exposure through practical training to
the trainees.
Jobmela at NTSC Rajkot
NSIC-Technical Services Centre, Rajkot is one of the leadingtechnical training Institute in Saurashtra Region of Gujarat State.
In our pursuit to aid, counsel, assist, finance,protect and promote the interests of “micro &small enterprises in India” and to provide thetrainees a platform to showcase their technicalskills and expertise acquired during thetraining at this centre, a Job Fair wasorganized on 30th of March 2016 , Wednesdayfrom 10 AM to 2.00 PM at NTSC-Rajkotpremises.
A job fair is an event at which people lookingfor a job can meet possible employers. Jobseekers use this opportunity to meet with themand attempt to stand out from other people andget an overview of what it’s like to work for acompany or a sector that seem interesting tothem.
This is also an opportunity for companies tomeet with students and talk to them about theirexpectations from them as students andanswer their potential questions such as thedegree or work experience needed.
“For many, the Job fair can be an initial screen of talent and numerous employers will decide to offer first
round interviews based on those brief interactions at a Job fair table.”

A total of 30 number of companies were intimated and sent invitation to
participate in the job fair, out of them 18 companies responded back. Almost all
companies gave a positive response, but due to their pre-scheduled
engagements, they expressed their inability to turnup at the job fair. A total of 14
companies came to participate in this job Fair and and conducted the first level
scrutiny and preliminary round of selection for the candidates attended the
job fair.
“Around 95 job aspirants attended the job fair and submitted their resumes toparticipated companies and actively participated in the selection process and 37number of trainees are selected for next level of interview and companies invited
them at company site.”
