An Interview for your Dream JobFirstly ,decide what you dream job is. Then role play in pairs and TAKE TURNS-

The recruitment officer interviews the candidate- Biography

Wandavi Jalal Mohamed was born along the Silk Road, in Kurdistan (Iraq) in 1945, a rich culture with ancient roots, a melting pot of Arabic, Persian, Turkish and Slavic cultures, incorporating a mindset that is aware of the abuse of power , making that identity all the stronger.

Finding the political context at odds with his need for freedom,Wandavi embarked on a long, eventful journey to Europe where he was accepted as an art student at the Academia,Roma from 1972 under the tutelage of masters Gentillini and Fazzini, making Italy his home until he was offered asylum in Sweden and a place at the Kungliga,Academi in Stockholm from 1972. In 1981,he returned to Padova in Italy where he established his professional practice with success both inside and outside the country.

His professional practice includes painting oil and acrylics, ceramics, interior design objects , graphics and prints that offer a wide range of media for his prolific expression.

Having exhibited internationally in Sweden, Australia, Japan, Jordan, Berlin, Galleria Iride, Fiera di Madrid and New York.

Every year Wandavi has a solo show in Galleri O in Stockholm, Lupo Arte in Palermo and has upcoming venues in Australia and London in 2014.

His current exhibition is running at Torra di Sulos, Alghero, Sardegna with the present curators , architect and artistic space Designer -Maria Antonietta Corrias and gallery dealer Marisa Bonamici who have created a stunning circular display ,choosing a splendid medieval stone tower overlooking the sea, that reflects the mystery and splendour of Wandavi's works .

Wandavi is one of those eagerly followed artists who mould their vision ,with an unfolding of esoteric and onieric fantasy, anchored to a historical and conceptual framework.

His dynamism draws from a narrative context ,outside of linear time that is in a continual state of change, revealing a high level of personal experimentation. The work of the artist answers fully to the rules of symbolist expression, which Albert Aurier delineates in his famous article published in "Mercurie de France", together , subjectively the Idealist , meaning that there is tension between the interpretation of the signs.

From the works emerge an expressive "multicultural" grid that has essential Oriental roots with frequent reference to the Egyptian Karbala, Nordic and Greek myths, medieval iconography, Islamic imagrey ,in fact all great monotheistic religions.
