Building services specialists since 1953 Project Manager – Electrical Chelmsford or Cambridge Based £Excellent - Salary Negotiable. Benefits include Car Allowance, Pension, Private Healthcare. Munro Building Services Ltd have a requirement for an experienced Electrical Project Manager. You will take contractual and nancial responsibility from contract award to end of defects liability. We generally work on projects with a value up to £3 million, we are looking for a Project Managerwho is capable of ensuring the projects run smoothly, within budget and to deadline. Youll produce robust project plans, supervise installa on teams and subcontractors on-site, manage health and safety procedures and guarantee client sa sfac on every me. Some of your duties will include but not be limited to § A end, where requested, pre-order tender mee ngs with the Es ma ng Department and client professional team. § A end handover, pre-contract mee ngs and receive all project informa on from Es ma ng Department. Assume responsibility for project from contract award onwards. § Produce a materials, subcontractor, installa on, procurement and drawing programme to accord with installa on and specica on requirements under the direc on of Manager. § Liaise with the Contracts Es mator on distribu on/material scheduling, phasing and programming requirements. Ensure orders are placed to meet on-site installa on requirements, including chairing interviews, technical appraisal reviews and cost nego a ons, works tests, factory tests, etc. § Check and ensure all major suppliers, manufacturers and subcontractors comply with contract drawings and specica ons, ac on order placement and check acknowledgements within set budgets. Report any losses/gains. § Produce informa on required schedules of technical or contractual issues for clari ca on from client or professional team. § A end all contract site mee ngs including prepara on of reports required by client and professional team. Respond to all correspondence/communica ons in wri ng recording key aspects. § Prepara on of monthly valua ons of work done to set valua on dates, ensuring the Company maintains a posi ve cash ow wherever possible. § Liaise with the Contracts Manager on payment of applica ons and discuss any shor alls. Address reasons why. § Assist the Contracts Manager in the prepara on and issue of Financial Progress Reports (FPR) by providing a wri en report on material variances and nal cost forecasts for both labour and materials. § Ensure that health and safety policies and procedures are adhered to and fully implemented at site level and take appropriate ac on where individuals do not comply with the companys health and safety policies and procedures. § Organise the tes ng and commissioning of installa on, together with the comple on of the commissioning manual, prior to handover, either using Munro resources or specialist contractors, including demonstra on to client.

In order to be considered for this exciting role you must have:

§ An overall knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of Electrical systems and their installa�on methods.

§ The ability to plan ahead, co-ordinate and priori�se workloads. § Good people management and mo�va�onal skills. § The ability to work under pressure to meet set deadlines. § Numeracy and literacy skills. § The ability to work unsupervised but also to be an ac�ve team member. § A pro-ac�ve approach to problem solving. § A good knowledge of all aspects of health and safety within the industry and the ability to

implement control measures at site level. § Ability to meet deadlines and work in a client facing environment

You will also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal. Strong attention to detail will also be required.
