President
Objectives
To provide strong, efficient and effective leadership for the Club.
To ensure that all junior members are given the highest level of coaching and competition to promote their development to senior ranks within the Club.
Ensure the Club is run efficiently administratively, financially and socially to support the on field activities.
To provide support to the Executive and Committee members to ensure the efficient operation of the Club.
To provide a safe an enjoyable recreational environment for all Club members and ensure all football activities are played in a competitive and fair spirit. Responsibilities

Vice President
Objectives
• To oversee all football related matters across the Club.
• Provide leadership to all football coaches, players, support staff and volunteers.
• To provide support to the President of the Club.
• To provide support to the Executive and Committee members to ensure the efficient operation of the Club.
Responsibilities
• Ensure the effective and efficient operation of the Executive and all football operations.
• Preside over meetings in the absence of the President.
• Ensure that all sectors of the Club football operations are managed effectively and efficiently so that on field performance is maximised.
• Oversee the football development program so that participation at junior and senior levels is maximised.
• Ensure that all coaches and support staff are carrying out their duties as required.
• Oversee recruitment of coaches and players according to policies outlined by the Club Committee.
• Assist other Committee members in their duties as required.
• Undertake tasks at the request of the President, Executive or General Committee. Relationships
• Reports to the Club Junior President and General Committee of the Club.
• Supports all coaches, players, support staff and volunteers.
• Liaises with the Executive.

Secretary
Objectives
To ensure that appropriate administrative support is provided to the President, General Committee and sub committees.
To provide a “whole of Club” planning focus to ensure the overall efficient management of club functions.
To manage business considered by the Club Committee.
To provide support to the Executive and Committee members, to ensure the efficient operation of the Club. Responsibilities
Establish a planning calendar for the year.
Provide a coordinating and support role for Club sub committees.
Formulate the annual operating plan and manage its ongoing administration.
Provide secretarial support to the Committee.
Maintain an accurate copy of the Rules and By-Laws of the Club.
Maintain a complete record of all activities of the Club.
Be familiar with the rules of the Club, League, Football Victoria, AFL and any other body that has governance to give advice to the President and Committee as required.
Prepare minutes of all committee and general meetings of the Club and distributes them within 5 working days of the monthly meeting held in accordance with the Rules of the Club.
Receive all correspondence directed to the Club.
Receives emails from NFL and passes them on to the appropriate committee member
Prepare and send correspondence in accordance with the direction of the President and Committee.
Report on activities of the portfolio to the membership at the Annual General Meeting.
Prepare a comprehensive report of all activities of the Club for presentation to the membership at the Annual General Meeting.

Treasurer Objective To ensure that a financial management system and reporting system is put in place and operable so the Club committee has an accurate, true and correct understanding of the financial status of the Club at all times.
To provide support to the Executive and Committee members to ensure the efficient operation of the Club. Responsibilities
Prepare the annual budget of the Club for presentation at the February Committee meeting (the draft budget having earlier been formulated by the Club Executive).
Ensure all Managers and general committee members do not exceed authority ceilings for financial expenditure without reference to the General Committee.
Promptly attend to general banking activities.
Maintain appropriate accounts of all income and expenditure and associated audit trails, e.g. receipts.
Report monthly to the Junior Club Committee/Senior Club Bookkeeper on budget performance.
Present all accounts for payment for approval& Prioritise payment of accounts.
Make details of all accounts available to the Club Committee and members as provided in the Corporate Affairs Act.
Oversee and seek reports of all other accounts held by sections of the Club.
Manage any overdraft facility held by the Club.
Ensure any surpluses are invested wisely after approval by the Committee.
Ensure all taxation commitments are met by the Club.
Ensure the Club finances are correctly audited.
Report on activities of the portfolio to the membership at the Annual General Meeting.
Assist other Committee members in their duties as required.

The Treasurer shall seek ratification from the General Committee of a Club budget, including debt reduction and thereafter shall have the authority to act within the limits of the budget and strategy approved.

Football Manager Objective To co-ordinate all off field football activities for the Clubs teams to ensure that all players and off field staff are provided with the highest level of support to enable them to compete and perform at the highest level
To provide support to the Executive and Committee members to ensure the efficient operation of the Club Responsibilities Assist other Committee members in their duties as required
To have a close working relationship with the JDO/CC on all football matters

Coordinate formulation of the Football Operational Plan.
Appoint Coaches for age groups with the JDO/CC; ensure they are informed of what their responsibilities are. Explain to them about the rules of the NFL and what our constitution says about reasonable time on ground and that win at all costs is not acceptable in the lower age groups.
Organise the pre-season match games for appropriate age groups.
Help the coaches choose an assistant coach & team manager to enable smooth running of a team During season
Coordinate delivery of the Football Operational Plan.
Liaise between players, coaches, Club Executive and General Committee.
Ensure all equipment is available as required by Coaches and/or League and that it is in good working order – includes match balls.
Oversee the maintenance and management of all training and match equipment including goal post covers.
Coordinate submission of running sheets and match reports after both home and away games.
Ensure players attending League tribunal hearings are supported by quality advocates.
Ensure equipment, e.g. jumpers and footballs owned by Club are retained by Club.

Team Manager Coordinator Objective
To provide support to the Team managers and to be a person to whom they are able to come to on a regular basis to help them get on top of their job
Teach them how to arrange the required support staff for games
Do a night or a day training session and communicate with your new team managers on how this side of the football club is run. Responsibilities
Ensure the team manager is equipped with all the appropriate information to do the job properly

Junior Development Officer /Coaching Coordinator
Introduction
The objective of the Junior Development Officer (JDO/CC) is to ensure the continued development, promotion and advancement of junior football and players within the club.
A key aim of the JDO/CC is to maximise the opportunities for young people to play football and be involved in the game to the maximum of their potential and enjoyment.
The JDO/CC must be committed to ensuring that football development programs are conducted to maximise the numbers participating and supporting football and enable young footballers to achieve their highest potential. This may be at either Club level, or higher competitions such as major league or TAC competitions. Aim of junior football development
The aim of Junior Development should be:
• to seek to provide the best and safest environment for junior players
• to be committed to ensuring the continued development of junior players and the junior football components of the Club from Auskick through to the under 17s
• to provide all juniors with the best possible opportunity to develop their skills
• to foster a sense of team spirit and responsibility in junior player
• to co-ordinate the provision of training and coaching resources to junior coaches and teams
• assist with the provision of advice, support and guidance for junior players that may require additional assistance beyond the “average” player
• identify those juniors that require specific skill training to assist in their development
• identify and assist those players of outstanding potential in furthering their careers.
Specific Roles and Responsibilities The JDO/CC shall be responsible for: 1. Conduct of the Club Primary School Clinics to promote the club
2. Coordinate the attendance at Junior (Under 9 to 17) teams training and matches of senior grade players to assist Junior Coaches and ensure the maintenance of a high profile and level of support for the junior players.
3. To promote the Club’s junior coaching developmental philosophy to all coaches and key personnel involved in the Under 9 to Under 17 teams and Auskick Programme.
4. Coordinate the provision of training and coaching resources (such as videos and other instructional / educational information) to the junior coaches and teams.

5. Check coaches’ accreditation & assist with the development of coaches.
6. Coordinating attendance by Club personnel at coaching courses run by the AFL/NFL
7. Advise the Club Committee on all matters relating to junior development matters.
8. Recommend new equipment where required.
9. Arrange BBQ’s, education nights etc. for coaches and team ages as required Key relationships 1. The JDO/CC reports directly to the Vice President /Football manager
2. A close relationship is also maintained with the Club Executive and the Junior Committee and Coaches on football operational matters.
3. The JDO/CC will liaise with the League Development Coordinator to ensure the Club’s responsibilities for the identification of talented players are met.
Preferred qualifications and experience The JDO/CC should: 1. Maintain a minimum of Level 1 coaching qualifications, and preferably advance to
Level 2.
2. Have a background of coaching at a junior level.
3. Have a background as a senior player of the Club, or be a current senior player.
4. Understand the structure of football development within the Region.

Objective
To ensure all participants have fun and make new friends whilst developing many new skills as part of Australian Rules football.

Disciplinary Officer Objectives To be proactive in assisting the committee in promoting a positive environment and culture in and around the club. Ensuring that the reputation of the club and its members are held in the highest esteem within the community and the Northern Football League. Responsibilities • To be proactive in assisting the committee, coaches and team managers in
preventing any negative behaviour from players, officials, volunteers and parents by ensuring relevant communication about club policies and procedures are delivered to all members.
• Helping to promote the positive culture of the club, which in turn should help in
preventing any negative behaviour, by assisting the committee in communicating to all teams, officials, volunteers and parents.
• If required, deal with any negative situations that arise in a timely manner. Ensure
that all details are kept confidential and all situations are dealt with in a fair and equitable manner for all involved and for the benefit of the club and its members.

Merchandising Sales Coordinator
Objective To provide support to the Executive and Committee members to ensure the efficient management of Club clothing sales
To provide a range of reasonable priced clothing that will provide members and supporters with suitable attire to reflect professionally on the Club Responsibilities Prepare a report proposing a suitable range of clothing for sale for consideration by the Committee at the commencement of the season
Arrange the wide promotion of clothing items to members, supporters and the community
Provide a convenient means by which orders can be placed for all clothing lines
Arrange the display of clothing lines in the Club social rooms prior to the commencement of each season

Junior Sponsorship Coordinator
Objective To maximise the number of sponsors supporting the Club and to maximise revenue from the sponsorship base.
To manage the relationship between the Club and sponsors to ensure that all sponsors are serviced to a high level and are retained on a long term basis.
To provide support to the Executive and Committee members to ensure the efficient management of Club sponsorship activities. Responsibilities Develop a proposal, for ratification by the Committee, for sponsorship packages to be offered by the Club to attract as broad a sponsorship as possible.
Coordinate all sponsorship for all areas of the club.
Meet the sponsorship budget target set as part of the annual financial planning process.
Ensure all existing sponsors are contacted three months prior to the season commencement
Seek out new sponsors to supplement existing sponsors.
Ensure sponsors signage is in place and all other aspects of sponsorship packages are in place prior to the commencement of the season.
Arrange a sponsor’s dinner (as part of the annual luncheon) at an appropriate time of the year.

Junior Membership Coordinator
Objective To provide coordination of Club membership activities. Responsibilities
Develop and maintain strategies for the ongoing expansion of the membership base of the Club.
Develop proposal for membership fees and arrangements for the ensuing season for consideration by Club Committee.
Provide to the Committee as soon as possible after the completion of each season with recommendations for all membership types and fees for the ensuing year.
Assist with the collection of membership fees from players and general members.
Provide details of all members to the Club Secretary to maintain the Club data base of membership.
Maintain that all parents and players have read and signed the club code of conduct.

Insurance Officer
Objectives
To manage the Club’s insurance programme.

Ensure the Club meets any league requirement regarding player insurance policy
Reconcile claims and ensure players receive payments returned from insurer. Accountability

Junior Grants Manager
Objective To source Grants available for the Club and to maximise the opportunities for the club Responsibilities Co-ordinate grants when received for the betterment of the club.

Seek out new Grants and future grants they may come available in the future.
Ensure all grants that have been received that there agreements have been honoured. Relationships

Junior Tribunal Advocate
Objective To provide advocacy support to any player required to attend the League Independent Tribunal either for clearance appeals, charged player or players called as witnesses to a charge. Responsibilities
Ensure that he/she is familiar with all league Rules pertinent to clearances and umpires charges arising from on field incidents.
Ensure that he/she is familiar with all leagues Playing Rules.
Ensure that he/she is familiar with procedures at tribunal hearings.
Where an alleged charge is laid against a player or an opposition player is charged with an alleged offence against a Club player obtain all documents relevant to that charge from the Secretary.
Meet with player and develop case and brief player regarding the tribunal appearance.
Attend the tribunal with player at the time and date set down by the League.
Report outcomes of any hearing to the Secretary and appropriate Coach as soon as practicable after the conclusion of the hearing. Relationships

Junior Medical Coordinator
Objective To coordinate the Club trainers
To oversee the management of player injuries

Arrange training courses to ensure that all trainers are appropriately skilled in first aid and sports injury treatment.
Coordinate a register of injuries to players in all Grades.

Keeping up to date with all milestones and making sure they are recognised appropriately

Understanding the history of all the awards that are given
Understanding the budget that is given for the awards and sourcing the best possible deal for the club

Canteen Manager
Objective To provide an appropriate canteen service at all home games and at other times as agreed.

Ensure that an adequate food safety plan is in place for canteen operations
Ensure that adequate equipment is available for providing the canteen services
Establish a menu of goods for sale that provides variety that will attract all members and visitors to purchase goods from canteen

Ensure that the canteen is open for business from the commencement of the first game at home games

Player Welfare Officer Objective The player welfare officer helps to ensure the club is promoting the wellbeing, both physical and mental, of all our players, and maximising their opportunities to play and enjoy football. Responsibilities Help the club to develop a club environment that: • all players feel is safe, inclusive, respectful and enjoyable; • develops all players' skills and disciplines;
• fosters a sense of team spirit and responsibility;
• encourages fair play; and
• maximises all players' opportunities to play football. Work with coaching staff to co-ordinate the provision of training and coaching resources to junior coaches and teams. Assist with the provision of advice, support and guidance for junior players who may require additional assistance beyond that needed by the “average” player, including:
• specific skill training; and • help with schooling, family and/or other life issues. Help the club to promote, enforce and improve standards, practices, and codes of conduct and policies that support players and club development and growth. Ensure that relevant policies and programs are available or accessible. Liaise with AFL and NFL staff on development opportunities for the club. Coordinate the provision of training resources (such as videos and other instructional / educational information) to coaches and teams. Co-ordinate attendance by Club personnel relevant courses run by the league or AFL Victoria. Advise the Club Committee on player welfare. Ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with players and their parents. Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a wide variety of club and NFL officials including WJFC coaches and team managers. Authority in dealing with football operations staff. Volunteer Coordinator
Objective To coordinate all club volunteers to fill all positions required to ensure the club operations run smoothly at all times. Responsibilities
Attract and recruit new volunteers to the club
Develop clear job descriptions for all required tasks
Ensure the right person is found for each job
Identify ways of training volunteers if they do not have the required skills for the role
Supervise volunteers or allocate other members to supervise
Identify methods of recognising volunteers
Revise volunteer duties as needed
Communicate and liaise with Committee members on a regular basis Relationships
Liaises with Club Executive and General Committee
Liaises with all Club volunteers Accountability Reports to the Club Secretary

General Committee Member
Objective To be a volunteer that helps all other members on the committee when in need to ensure the club operations run smoothly at all times. Responsibilities
To help create community and atmosphere where life skills are formed
To help make a place for kids to want come to, to insure the future of the club is strong
To help with the running of match day running’s if personal is short in areas
Communicate and liaise with committee members on a regular basis Relationships
Liaises with Club Executive and Other General Committee
