Job description Job Title: Business Development Executive Date: May 2019 Reporting to: Director of Communications and Membership Overview CIArb is passionate about promoting a harmonious society, helping people and organisations avoid, manage and resolve conflict through our global network of over 16,000 members. We are the leading global professional membership organisation representing the interests of alternative dispute practitioners worldwide. As a not-for-profit, UK registered charity, CIArb works in the public interest through an international network of 39 branches. Job Purpose As Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for the growth in the number of users of CIArb training products. You will need to identify and win business with bringing new training providers and corporate members on board to deliver our training products as well as maintain and develop relationships with existing training providers and corporates. You will have a strong focus on maintaining and developing relationships and a solution-based approach. This role requires excellent teamwork across CIArb to ensure a coordinated approach to all CIArb activities as we are all working to provide an excellent service to our stakeholders. Major Objectives Strategic and Management

• Develop and maintain a pipeline of corporate prospects from a range of business sectors. • Grow the number of training providers and manage the relationships with existing training

providers. • Promote CIArb education and training products as well as professional memberships. • Work closely with internal teams to develop opportunities for corporate partners. • Develop and maintain key relationships at all levels within prospect corporate organisations. • Research companies, organisations and individuals as required for corporate proposals. • Drive our online engagement through content provided by corporate members • Liaise with the appropriate internal teams to prepare and present compelling proposals to

corporate clients. • Support the Events Manager in identifying sponsorship opportunities for CIArb products, events

and services. Build relationships in order to create networks of corporate support

• Influence corporate contacts to engage with CIArb and our work, including education and training opportunities and the promotion of our professional standards and ethical guidelines and influencing policy in ADR.

• Keep up to date on corporate agendas as well as best practice developments within the ADR sector in relation to corporate partnerships, maintaining a strong external profile.

• Engage other colleagues in appropriate relationship building activities with key prospects

• Represent the organisation at internal/external events as required. • Attend networking events and build contacts within the business environment Corporate

• Develop friendly, positive and supportive relationships with members, corporate members and provide them with excellent service.

• Deal efficiently with telephone, email and letter correspondence, ensuring that action is taken by the relevant member of staff and that anyone contacting CIArb feels that their query

General

• Carry out any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the line manager. • Work in such a way as to minimise the risks to the information technology environment safely,

securely and confidently. • Have regard for your own actions and those of others in the interests of safety.

Summary terms and conditions Contract: Permanent Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum, depending on experience Annual leave: 25 days holidays per annum plus UK bank holidays.
