Bandwidth is a relatively new company that has only been around since around 2001. Despite this they are a very dynamic company that is on the cutting edge of the telecom industry. In fact, the CEO of the company David Morken was named Ernst & Young Southeast Area Entrepreneur of the Year for 2011/2012. In addition on the Bandwidth website, you can find dozens of mentions and awards the company has received. In addition to their innovative excellence, they also have a rich employee life, and seem to really support their employees. They consistently have events meant to build their community and challenge the skills of their workers.

When creating my cover letter for this job application, I mainly focused on my academic skills as well as my technical skills. Bandwidth seems to be a very dynamic company and in the future I probably would have done this job application differently. I would have focused more on the actual projects I worked on and try to show my creativity. However, as of right now I do not have a large portfolio of experience I could use. Instead, I tried to show that I had the technical and problem solving skills they would need at their company. I also did not try to hide my lack of work experience as much, because this company seems to be very accepting of employees freshly out of college. For my resume, I didn’t focus so much on the fact that I was from Penn State, instead I focused on my Degrees and technical skills to show I was capable of performing whatever job they needed of me.

In the resume, I changed the education section to emphasize the fact that I was educated at Penn State and also included a local address where I could be reached. Besides these points, I just tried to show my technical skills to the best of my ability.
