The area: Marketing

The Google Creative Lab is a small team that strives to re-think marketing across every kind of media - currently existing or not, with Google as its sole client. Our job is to manage the Google brand, find new ways to communicate the company's innovations, intentions and ideals, and do work of which we can all be immensely proud.

The role: Creative Director, EMEA

You're ambitious and crazy enough to think you can actually change the world.

Like Google itself, the Creative Lab comes up with new ideas that push the notion of what is possible and what is practical. Like any good, small agency, this will all be about the relationship between great producers, creatives, engineers, planners and business thinkers.

You are a progressive, tech savvy, rules-breaking and big thinking Executive Creative Director to help steward and extend the Google brand. In this role, you are expected to conceive and execute breakthrough ideas that will help shape, define, and invent how the Creative Lab can leverage all the mojo of Google to make a profound impact on the world. The Executive Creative Director should be a seasoned creative leader who's not interested in managing a big group of people but who's driven to make great work. You're creative, with a killer portfolio, but you also have a healthy skepticism with traditional marketing mores. You're some one who's looking to the future, striving for something bigger, and burning to create meaningful impact.

Lead and build a world class team of designers, writers, film makers, programmers and creative tinkerers

Foster outside agency relationships to develop a creative ecosystem globally

Requirements:

B.A. or B.F.A. preferred, ideally in English, Journalism, Design or related field (M.A. and M.F.A's a plus),.

At least 12 years of experience at a world class creative agency leading creative or iconic global brands

Portfolio of original and breakthrough work

Ability to thrive in a rapid paced environment on multiple projects in a scrappy, start-up atmosphere

Great at rallying creatives and agencies to do the best work of their career

Self-driven, fearless interest and curiosity in gadgets, inventions and world-changing leaps in technology, along with a healthy disrespect for the impossible
