Introduction Jeevan Jyoti Sewa Sanstha (NGO) came in to being in the year 2006 .This is National level self-financing society and registered under Societies Registration Act, 1860 (Act XXI 1860) dated 26 May 1860. The organization was setup with the vision of promoting welfare policy, the outcome of which was our educational program. Since its inception, JJSS has made significant contributions in areas like medical care to old persons, educational support to poor and underprivileged children, provision of home to old persons, rehabilitation of old women and organizing medical camps for eye, leprosy & cancer patients etc. The impact is huge with relentless efforts of our ever growing enthusiastic members. Mission Jeevan Jyoti Sewa Sasntha is national level charity working for the poor of street children and cause and care of the destitute elderly. We work to fight of disadvantage elderly in India. Objective We have helped set up Income Generation projects, through which the regain their status in family and community. We are running and support of schools for street children, their education, living and improve their quality. We conduct research on various issues related to ageing, and promote the study of age care & its related problems. We advocate with national & local government to bring about policy that is beneficial to the elderly. Value Education JJSS works closely with educationists, academicians, school principals and policy makers nationwide, urging them to include value education in school curriculums. The aim of this initiative is to inculcate the right values in children and sensitize them towards elder needs. Old Age Homes/ Day Care Centers For many older people who don’t have roof over their heads or a place to call their own, JJSS old age homes & day care centers serve as a home away from home. Relief & Rehabilitation During disasters the worst affected are elderly & physical frailty personnel. The inability often prevents them from securing a safer place in-time and even deprive them accessing relief material. They often get sidelined by younger and more able personnel. JJSS works at rehabilitating these elderly, by not only provides them short term relief material but also facilitates long term sustainability options through old age home & date care center options. Educational Program The school provides free schooling to poor children and takes special care for their education & personality development. JJSS identifies and encourages poor family children's to join school and get educated through society's support. Our Future Planning Special section for all kinds of disabled children of state wise. Regular primary health checkup with medicine support. Adult education with focus on basic learning along with stitching classes. The program will also aim at providing financial support for self startup.
