Re: Letter of Recommendation: Jingyi Wang

Dear Sir or Madam:

As a Distinguished Adjunct Professor for Golden Gate University (GGU), I have had the pleasure of instructing Jingyi Wang in a full credit course in Project Management – a class which was the Capstone course which culminates that major. The class used GGU’s intranet and involved significant interaction between her and her teammates, and with me.

I have been impressed with her scholarly ability, with her insights and with the disciplined, conscientious approach to her work. Jing brought a mature, broad-based, yet very fresh perspective to the class, and by her leadership in her team was a role model for less gifted students.

Much of the class was facilitated by team projects and exercises, and she quickly became the leader in her team. She was able to coalesce the virtual efforts of a disparate group of individuals, with varying degrees of competence and commitment, into an effective unit that produced high quality results. She helped lead her team to develop deliverables that included project schedules (with MS Project software), a risk management plan, a project charter, a scope statement, and many other project tools and documents.

Jing is flexible, a very fast learner, and is clearly capable of and ready for additional challenge and responsibility. Were I looking for someone who could hit the ground running and produce in a team environment, I would choose her. If given the opportunity, I believe Jing will perform superbly, contribute meaningfully and meet or exceed your expectations. I recommend her without reservation.

Yours truly,

Homer Johnstone, DBADistinguished Adjunct ProfessorBrigadier General, U.S. Army (Ret.)
