Materials•Watercolor paper,

square (11”x11” or 12”x12”)

• ruler

• pencil and eraser

• oil pastels

• baby oil, q-tips

Write your name on the back. Then

use your ruler to divide the paper into quarters

• One vertical (up and down) line

• one horizontal (side to side) line

• PLEASE DRAW LIGHTLY!!!

Draw a heart in the middle of the paper

•DRAW LIGHTLY!

• Erase ‘+ ’ sign in the middle

Review:Cool colors: purple, blue,

greeenWarm colors: red, orange,

yellow

Color inside the heart

Use the warm colors, plus pink and white

You do not have to color every bit.

It is fine to make patches of color.

Remember: warms+pink+white

Use two cool colors in each compartment.

Blend the cool colors

with baby oilAre you using that fresh q-

You only need a little oil.

All done!!! Put your art on the drying rack. Throw

away all used q-tips.
