COURSE DESCRIPTION
This is a three-days hands-on dry
workshop and live surgery course
that will cover orthopaedic surgical
skills in arthroscopic ACL
reconstruction and knee
replacement culminating in live
surgery for a more comprehensive
operating room experience. The aim
is to familiarize surgeons with the art
of knee arthroscopy and ACL
reconstruction as well as knee
arthroplasty surgeries, as well as, to
provide training in the principles of
anterior cruciate ligament
reconstruction and total knee
replacement. Both ACL
reconstruction and total knee
replacement techniques will be
taught, practiced and evaluated.

station in the dry workshop at
the UNIMAS Faculty of Health
Sciences at Lot 77 (next to
Sarawak GH).
TKR and ACL reconstruction
cases wil l be conducted during
the l ive surgery module with 2
participants to assist in each
surgery at the Operating
Theatre of Sarawak General
Hospital , Kuching.
